I Just Couldn't Take It Anymore (snowstorm content)

I hadn't driven the truck in almost a week. I was going berzerker. I mean, Rachel's Jag is nice and all (stability control in that car ROCKS!), but it's really no comparision to driving the truck.

I broke out the shovels. Plural.
First I needed the spade to break up the 2" layer of ice that was on top of the 6" of snow. That was unfun.

Next came the regular snow shovel...as it continued to come down yesterday. In total, about 10" of snow.

Thankfully, the plow came by yesterday and added a bit more for me to move. Thanks buddy!

9 hours. 50' of driveway.

BTW- I just found out I broke my spade shovel. It's cracked from the tip to about the mid-way point of the metal spade section. No wonder I'm so sore. LOL

Yeah, they have a snowblower. They're getting to old to be messing with shovels etc. At one point the snow was coming down so fast, they were going out every hour just to stay ahead of it.
Just get a little duct tape to fix your shovel or use it as an excuse to get a snowblower.

We've reached 64 consecutive days with the temperature remaining below 50 degrees. We usually get at least 50 at some time or another during the winter but given our nearly 2 months of persistent snow cover it hasnt happened. the all time record for consecutative days below 50 is 75 set back in 1993.

Potential major snow storm is in the offing for next weekend for the central plains with severe storms across the gulf and mississippi river areas.

Spring is just around the corner.
