Well, you guys and gals know I am not one to come here and yap about any personal issues. Some of you are aware that I have an ongoing situation with my daughter’s mother regarding custody. Well, we went to court today where I requested an attorney adlydum to represent the child in court. My daughter’s (Angelica’s) mother cannot come close to saying I am a bad father, or that the environment I provide for her is substandard. But she certainly made a false allegation in court today that I am a violent person as an attempt to hinder my ability to gain custody.

Of course I can sit here and declare to all of you that I have NEVER laid a hand on this woman nor have I ANY criminal background especially regarding violence. I may be a silly goof, but violent? I doubt it. But that’s just my take; I would like to hear from anyone here if I am deemed an unfit father and/or a violent individual. I may have the adlydum come to this site and read your inputs. No holds barred guys, whether you know me personally or not tell me what you think about me. Say whatever you wish, my feelings wouldn’t be hurt..

But custody and divorce proceedings are fierce and nasty things...

It reminds me of the case in which the judge could not clearly determine custody rights, so he left it up to the child.

"Do you want to live with your mother or your father?", the judge asked.

"Neither one." the boy declared boldy. "They both beat me all the time.."

Puzzled at the fact that this issue had not been raised during the proceedings, the judge replied, "Well, son..... despite that unfounded allegation, you only have two parents and you complain that they both beat you... With whom would you rather live...?

The boy paused for a moment, then blurted out, "I wanna live with the San Diego Padres. They never beat anybody...!"

I haven't had the pleasure of meeting you in person yet, How!? I'm always too busy to make it to all the SE GTG's (regrettably, but necessary... with both the wife and I furthering our education AND working)... but I'll say this much, every time you have talked about your daughter on here in the threads you've mentioned spending time with family, it seems as though she truly is your light of day.

From what I can see, you care for your daughter very much. This is evident in your words and in your passion to have your daughter with you and more importantly out of the terrible situation she is in now. In th short time that I have been here, I have never seen you vrbally abuse anyone. Aside from being a smart ass sometimes (in a funny way), your a pretty cool guy. Good luck brother. I can't recall you ever making any posts referring to any sort of violence and having met you twice in person you seem to be just like you represent yourself through your posts.

You are a great guy and seem to be well liked by all (and a GREAT cook !)

I don't see any indications whatsoever of violence in your nature.

I met you and your Daughter both a few weeks ago and I'll be damned if you are endangering that beautiful little girl. Angelica, got it this time, is a bright and enthusiastic girl with a caring,loving father from what I seen. I can say that is the only time I had interaction with you, but it was not negative by any means. And after spending the day with you and your daughter at the GTG there is no way I could see any hate toward you in her eyes, and coming from a abusive family ( both parents) I can tell you for sure she is isn't in harms way.

Internet buddies over the course of over 8,000 post ( 41 months )usually paint a pretty good picture of themselves or feelings towards others. I have not seen you on Dateline....that's always good. Our kids mean more than what we drive, so if that's true....you really love your daughter. If the chit hits the fan....I want my plate back before you loose it.

After spending some good time with you in several different circumstances, I can honestly say Angelica would be most loved and very well taken care of in your custody. She is a very smart little girl and I know you will afford her the opportunity for higher education.
