No, not at all. I just don't think somebody with a stock truck should win just because of their status on the forum over a "new" member that has a nicely modded truck. Call me crazy:dontknow:

I agree that it is awesome to see a nicely kept, stock truck. These trucks are beautiful just the way they come off the assembly line. However, I think what he is saying is what made your truck stand out above the rest of the contestants? I think your truck is beautiful (CEs have always been my favorite SRT vehicles) but I am curious myself.

I always hated this argument. The Truck of the Month has been and always will be the choice of the Members. The Winner is the one that gets the most votes. Over the years, there has always be the tug-a-war between the stock and mod'd truck as if to say, the more you spend, the greater the value and there for should win. The other side of the coin is an unmolested stock truck, hence, more desireable....
I submit that none of this has anything to do with it. People vote for who they want and thats the way it should be. We had people win because they died, one won because he faced jail time, one because he laid down a killer mile speed record. One because he has hauled everything in his truck except ass.....
The reasons behind each vote is only important to the Voter and to question ones reasons is childish. Hell, the last winning truck was sold before the 1's and 0's settled.... In fact, the majorty of the winners are trucks that have been sold. Hell, this one was bought....YES!

Just curious as to why that particular truck got the votes. Like I said before, it is a beautiful truck....just don't know why it was considered "better" than any of the others. I have a lot of respect for most people on this forum but especially you Jeff, for a valuable resource that you provide us so I hope you don't find any of what I said disrespectful....just curious is all.

1. its a popularity contest
2. most modded truck usually wins.

I just get tired of the "why did he win" thing....
Everyone gets a vote, it is what it is. Even I have been one of those ass hats that acted poorly because I lost. No one is safe from feeling that way, but I think we can do better as a Membership. Hell, we should all be happy for Ironhead.
I remember when I had a very poor showing in the TOTM, thought I had one outstanding truck. Funny, I was maybe one of 5 that felt that way. From that point on, I just refused to be in another TOTM, I knew what I had, had no chance...ever
From tht point on, I have been excited for each and every winner
