Idle surge in closed loop

Hey all, fairly new here but wanted to see from everyone if they experience this issue.. On first start my truck surges a lot at idle. You would almost think itwas cammed (wish it was). After warm up it runs fine with a little hicup at idle. Truck has 42k and is stock , just recently picked it up. Thoughts?

Have you cleaned your IAC? They can get gummed up.

(Idle Air Controller, is located on the intake near the throttle body).

Check for a vacuum leak.

Took off IAC, it had some carbon build up. Cleaned it up and definitely seemed to clear the idle issue.

Glad it worked out for you. They are not expensive to replace, if you ever want to go that route.
