Funny really I was in the garage tonight ( late) I just sold my beloved Hemi after 105k miles and am going to purchase a 2010 . I looked at My 06 QC and realized we may be a daily driver for 10k. ( no worries) and glad to do it . then a thought ( passionate of course) came across if I dont sell the 06? What will the discussions be on this forum be as we sail thru the next 10 years? and what will she be worth ( the truck) If I keep her 10 or 20 years ??dontknow: I would imagine that custom market on these trucks would out weigh stock trucks as time moved on :dontknow: :dontknow:

your thoughts please

Hard to call, bud.....

But value will probably begin to come back by the time she's 25 yrs old.... How much is hard to say.

My Z is 14 yrs old soon. I paid 52k for it in '96... It's now worth (maybe 15K at best) mostly because of the condition of the car..... nearly perfect for it's year.... There were only #300ZX twin turbos made/sold for America in 1996..... All things considered, the value still kinda stinks....

Yet, old Supra Turbos are worth more than double that price..... Go figure.

D

Not to down you Tim but Supra's are alot better platform to build from (depending on what youre tryin to accomplish)... And Toyota was stupid to stop manufacturing them...

I agree with the "forget the value" statement.

This is a fun truck...it also is a really nice looking platform...value is for those that have them 30 or 40 years from now...lets see, in 40 years I will be how long buried???

But I love having it even during the winter when it just sits in a garage bay. I may get rid of it someday...more than likely I will just give it to my son...but every day that it is in my hands I have a nice little smile on my face...

By her 10th year I envision her in my garage up on jack stands getting some major work done (like an old 57 Chevy in your grandfather's garage). Once she's finished having her fog light adjusted I will take her off the stands, hop into her and cruise her down the road turning heads as I go as I bask in nostalgia. Her paint will be fresh and polished as I head to the store for some Efferdent. I wouldn’t even be thinking about her financial worth. Ahhh, good times.. Good times..

yep ill still have mine if my sone doesnt talk me out of it by then. hopefully we will still be able to buy 93 octane then.

Lets not be joking about the efferdent!:p :p

By then, Dodge will be long gone... The present administration (still in power) would have outlawed and confiscated any and all reminisce of gasoline or diesel fueled vehicles. Massive death camps for those who protested to keep their performance vehicles. The only reminder would be in some museum that would show a holographic version of our trucks eating young children. :D

By then, GM (Government Motors) will be producing the Ram SRT 3.14 pick up truck that weighs just under 1000lbs, gets 100mpg, and has a massive 3cyl hydro-electric engine, zero emission, zero carbon foot print, and pushing a whopping 27HP. ;)

We need Dr. Emmit Brown to create Mr. Fusion already!!!!

But if you encased your truck under 20 feet of concrete underground, it might fool the OMP (Obama Military Police) for a while. ;)

don't think about that. When you a driving a srt-10 now you must get the most fun out of it now, and not over 10 years. Prices drop always but if you bought your truck 2 handed, u got the price something like that over 10 years to I guess.

The SRT-10 will be just as much of a secret as it is today.

For most people who really love cars/trucks the SRT-10 really isn't part of the conversation.

In 25 years people will start looking at the RAM SRT-10 like the Studebaker, bad idea at the time, but really cool to have one now

no way this could be compared to a studebaker. awesome idea from a truck guys standpoint. wish they were still making these buys. id get another one.

If, science comes up with a way to artificially create gasoline, these trucks might be worth a nice penny one day too. There are always possibilities...

This is a very well defined example of, what will shortly be, a bygone era. ......... no excuses, in your face, raw American power. I guess someone, someday, might be interested in this footnote of motoring history. :)

God willing I hope to be an old fart someday cruising in my Black Mamba with all the younger generation saying "Nice Ride Pops". Seems hot rodding is slowly changing and fading. Im only 33yrs old, but I grew up seeing the classic muscle cars of the 60/70's. They seem but a shadow now. I think having an SRT-10 will become an American Classic many years from now.

Would you have felt better if I would have said a "Tucker"

i intend to keep mine for another 100k...then i'll probaly have to rebuild the motor and trans...

but i doubt that we will ever be able to buy a vehicle like this ever again...it was a one time deal...sit hit the fan, and now look...it won't be that the "motoring companies" couldn't build smething like this again, but more that with al this economic bullshit, they won't be building any more of these "hey look at what we can do" cars for a very long time, IMO,

collectible????...who cares...i'd rather die enjoying my truck, then wasting away on the couch watching it sit...:)

The only good car to own......

Is one you can drive
