what would you rather build ,and why

an leaving out all times and so forth, because to some , actuall track times are not important,

so basically what kind of build would you want to do, and why?

and how would you go about it?

i rather go N/A...its too easy to make power with turbos and superchargers...even though cars are more fun to drive with a little boost building a n/a is just more challenging to me......but that's just me.....

If I did NA.........

Raise compression 10.5 - 11.0

Cam

PP heads w/ larger valves

Headers

Venom ported throttle body

Catless

Exhaust

Tune by Venom/Torrie

Coils/wires

because you are not concerned about track times:D :D :D :D

Lets do an example from a question from a customer and maybe you get where I am going

he called wanted to know what to do, supercharger, turbo , nos, or na

I asked him what he really intended to do with the truck

he wanted something first that made mega hp

ok , but what will you "really do" with the truck

he said drive it on weekends only, and maybe once in awhile to show and to down town to show off a little

so I explained to himabout big hp numbers, they are good for 1 bragging rights, 2 for track times, 3 not good for daily driven or weekenders.

big hp trucks require alot of attention, there is allway something to be taken care of , changed so on.

so I pointed him towards a supercharger, he gets the cool sound he wants, plus he can make around 6-700hp which is enough for the street and enough for keepin up with most anything on the street.

from there he can do internal mods to the engine such as
heads, good springs, valves, and a PP job
a custom cam to suit what forced induction he wants
strong bottom end
beef up the tranny some with a good clutch
beef up the rear axle

and if the sc'r isnt enough he can always add a touch of nos for more fun

this allows him to be able to go back and super mod the engine bay, inside , exterior so on

and plus it gives him the "push the button anytime" reliability of what he wants

it makes for big fun, an not alot of hassle

Exactly I never even went this year with either trucks, something always goes wrong. I had computer issues and an oil leak start on my 85 last year fixed the computer problem not the leak yet.

The Procharger looks like a great way to go with a supercharger. It should make a ton more power than a Roe or Paxton. Good strong bottom end and some Stryker heads. Would still be my daily driver and weekend warrior. Might want a little nitrous thrown in for good measure.

forged motor ,,,N/A ,with a 200 shot ,,,,runs nice on a day to day ,,,and smoke that ass when needed :D now if someone is doing the work free then i would rethink it ,,,but bang for the buck nos is the way to go,But and there is always a Butt around somewhere;) If i had the cash right now to burn ,,

#1 forged engine ,,cause its not a motor;)
#2 mild custom ground cam :)
#3 Stryker heads
#4 Extrude honed intake manifold
#4 Justins Dual nos spray set up
#5 DTS rearend powder coated red:rock:

Old 50's to late 60's big body 2-door with a NA big-block..... driven daily. That's my dream ride.

I'd love to do a NA 454/502/572ci-ish 66-67 Chevelle (Pro-Tour) w/ a 5-6 speed one of these days.

N/A
