Is it hard to replace the ignition coils. They look like they sit right behind the intake manifold. Is this correct? Do i need to remove the manifold to change them? I am thinking about getting the JRSVP kit with all the plugs, wires, and coils and all. Also, is there a cheeper option thats just as good?

You do have to remove the intake to change the coils. I run stock.....I don't think there is enough performance gain to change from OEM. Others have had issues with the aftermarket wires.

My stockers have been working for 122k miles in the Florida heat and a winter in Missouri. Stay with the stock ones. The highest horsepower SRT-10 with over 1000whp runs the stock coils.

Ok, thanks for the input guys. I think i may just leave the coils, but i can see one of my wires looks to be a little fouled, so i will prolly change them out along with the plugs? So should i just go to dodge and get a set of mopar wires? What plugs should i run? Sorry for all the questions, im new to this truck.

Run the Champion plugs, they work the best IMO. It may not hurt to upgrade the wires but make sure you get a quality set.

i have the jtsvp upgraded wire and plugs never had any issue with them but i had a pin go bad on my coil pack so couldnt tell you if they made any improvement over a fully working oem one. hell of an improvement for me but like i said i had a bad pin so :)
