I also like the Aerosmith roller coaster at MGM.>..... its bad ass
Yup, and it's right next door to the Tower of Terror. I love that ride, the whole family does. Last time we were at Disneyland the twins finally were tall enough (with hiking boots on heheh) to ride it!

I have heard the best way to catch them and/or lose a hand is to cover yourself in bacon grease and just jump in :p

Charley's and Vito's are owned by the same people. ;)

I like the atmosphere of Vito's better.... but, they are both excellent.

International Drive is the main (tourist) stretch on the SW side of Orlando. It's very close proximity to all of the parks.

After whatever park you choose to visit closes there's always Downtown Disney. That is if you can last that long. After a day at the parks and seeing the fireworks I'm ready to head back to the resort. Anyhow, more restaurants and bars down there to visit. And no park pass needed.

skip Disney unless kids are going go to Universal studios wasnt going to read the whole thread

Excellent food... If there is two of you, plan on spending about $300+. If you REALLY want a experience, ask if the "kitchen table" is available. There is no menu with this table tho.... you sit IN the kitchen (only one table in there) and it's all chef's choice. You will be served 6 courses, with 6 different wines paired. It's quite the experience. When we last did this, Bernard ("Chef B.") was there. He is Emeril's right hand man, and he runs all of the restaurants. He served us personally. I will never forget it.

i wish i could do that, i am way too picky; and i have found out i don't like wine.
thanks thou. disney also has that, i saw it on travel channel a few years ago.
its got to be disney, i really need to get this childhood desire out of the way. like wanting a jetski, had one, wanted one, dont want another one.

A lot of good places touched on. I've been to Disney A LOT, here's a few things from my experience.

Food - Victoria & Albert's is solid. Dress code, no kids. Premier. Boma's over at AK Lodge is good buffet. If you want to satisfy the kid in you, The Coral Reef in Epcot has decent seafood and you sit literally inside an aquarium. The grille that has changed names 20 times over at The Land spins around and serves southern style stuff. You can of course, eat at Stefan's upstairs in Cinderella's castle.

Attraction - Magic Kingdom has Pirates, Splash Mountain, Haunted Mansion, Space Mountain (I think it's currently being worked on...), Carousel of Progress and the rest are mostly kiddy attractions. Epcot has Test Track, Mission to Mars, and a lot of earth science rides, as well as food and stuff from something like 13 different countries in the rear around the lagoon. MGM has the Tower of Terror, Aerosmith's Rock'n'RollerCoaster, Indiana Jones' Stunt Show, Star Wars, The Great Movie Ride and animation and studio tours. Animal Kingdom is mostly animals and animal shows, but they have a new Yeti themed coaster that goes backwards and does some cool stuff.

If you have one day to satisfy your childhood, my money is on Magic Kingdom. It's got the strongest parades and character locations. The best shopping in the parks and the most iconic attractions. Top it with dinner at the castle and it's a pretty good "big kid" day. Downtown Disney has a lot of adult shows, drinking, and shopping if you've still got the energy. House of Blues, Planet Hollywood, Cirque Du Soleil, and shopping. Not technically in a park, but part of the experience.

There is no charge...
They'll even take you there for free. Just catch one of the Disney buses showing they are going in that direction.

awesome, i got to get some trinkets.
There are plenty of places in the parks to get all kinds of stuff. Main Street in MK is lined with shops and Epcot has MouseGear with all the Disney goodies you'd want.

I've never had enough life left in me to go there after the park closes. I'm old.......:(
I went over there during the day but everything was closed except some of the shops. It's definitely a night time gathering place.

We stayed there for 10 days at the Riverside. They had a boat that left the hotel and went to Downtown. We only stayed at the parks til closing a couple of nights. Most of the rest we got an early start and then made it back in time to hang at the pool and enjoy some cocktails. We did some other stuff there too. Rented jet skis a couple of times, went parasailing (even took the boy up, he was 4), and rented a pontoon boat. Best vacation ever.

Sounds like you had a great time. Disney does things right. Their level of detail is unequaled.

We just got back from a Disney vacation. 4 days at the parks and a 3 day Bahamian cruise. Stopped at Nassau and Disney's own private island Castaway Cay. I'm sure there's such a thing as getting too much Disney but I've never been near it. Always something new to discover.
