Ok guys so long story short I'm out looking for a job. After almost 7 years my cousin and I have agreed to part ways. This economy has really affected the fabrication business:( He will be taking over from here to see if things get better:dontknow: His wife makes great money so that's why he has agreed to wait it out. I personally can't afford to foot half the bills and go without a paycheck anymore!

Now with this being said there are alot of jobs in my area due to the oil/gas industry coming in over the last 5 years. What I would like to know is if any of you guys work for these companys and to which one might be my best option;)

Southwestern energy company
Chesapeake Energy
CalFrac
Weatherford
Nomac

This is just a brief list of the larger companys in the area;) I have 4 family members that work for Desoto (Southwestern energy company) but it could take awhile still to get on and even then I would more than likely be a roughneck:dontknow: I know that without a college education I will more than likely start on the bottom which is not a problem. I would just like to check to see with my business experence if there may be something different to start with:dontknow:

Any advice will be greatly appreciated:)

Thanks D;)

Kyle, Weatherford is an excellent company with tons of growth potential... you might have to start out as a grunt but from what I've seen from them they are on their way up.

I personally would stay away from the frac side of the business.

Weatherford is the frac side:dontknow: Or at least here anyways..
All of the fracing places require a CDL also but will help you if you don't have it..

I want to get on a rig. Don't care if I start as roughneck or not. They work 7 on 7 off. Good pay,benifits,bonuses..

Check to see if your Weatherford field office has a wireline service. You maybe right on them just having frac services there.

Are you in Ft. Smith?
