im sick as hell

Sean Roe is the salt of the earth...not a verbose man, just a very good one.

This past year has been personally very difficult for him, but he has never forgotten his clients in the process. I owe him big time, and any of you that have every had a problem with something he has provided probably feel the same.
 
FIRST LET ME CLEAR ONE THING UP, ME AND SEAN ARE NOT AT EACH OTHERS THROATS. We are trying to work this out. we have talked eveyday since the mishap. I opened this thread looking for answers and help. Am i pissed that my motor blew after 30 miles? HELL YES, BUT NOT ONCE HAVE I SLAMMED SEAN OR ROE RACING. What i dont need right now is a smartass who has nothing constructive to say giving me shit.What i do appreciate is tnviper and prof telling me that they had this problem and what had caused theirs to do that, that is what i am looking for.So far sean seems willing to help us both come up with a solution and that is all i ask. But i have gone through everything on the system and i can find nothing wrong which leads me to something malfunctioned inside the vec. But sean was telling the truth when he said nobody told him that there had been any problems because nobody had. but my bottom line is i was looking for help and support not bullshit, by the way yamaha sucks, mercury always has been and will be number 1 on the water, buy american

Good luck fixing your truck, I had no intentions to get personal with you beyond some general ribbing.

It's a ridiculous expectation to think that no fault of this is yours whatsoever since you did the install. I'm still betting there was a grounding problem that caused it to run non-stop. Both the other people who fessed up to the problem identified their problems without crying out for manufacturer defect.

Mercury isn't even CSI rated... and try some grammar in your posts, it makes them easier to read with punctuation and shit. I'm not a smartass, you're just overly defensive and refuse to accept the possibility that any of this could be even partially your fault.

Something that many of us know is that the rods in the stock engine can occasionally be the weak link.

I will be very interested in what this tear down shows.

I recently heard of a new engine being placed on a dyno and on the first run # 3 pushed a rod through the block. Less than 100 miles on the motor.

That's why I think this is an opportunity to replace oem rods and pistons with forged stuff...maybe Sean will agree to sending them to you at a discount...everyone wins in that situation.

Note to brothers: Any time the pan is dropped...go forged...it is just doing the right thing at the right time.
 
PirateMan, I was thinking about getting a Roe, so please keep us informed on this thread on what you find.

Most member here are/will support you, and I feel will do what they can do support and to assist you in getting over this latest tragic event.
 
Lets keep this thread civil....Pirate sounds like somebody that is very anal with his truck...as am I.....now a rod has punched a hole in his dream machine..dont kick a man while he is down....Pirate has actually been very calm considering his $50K+ investment has blew up in his face....he and Sean seem to be working it out so let's wait till we know what actually caused the problem before pointing fingers...I have a stake in this issue and want to know what caused the problem..

I think it's all worked itself out. That's all we're interested in, is finding out what happened. You have a vested interest, and I'm a potential Roe customer. That's what we're all after :)

The reason I asked was my meth is located on the two pipes running up to the intake well ahead of the TB....and it never sprays until I am under boost....the meth is in the back and I have a light that comes on when it is spraying.....and it never lights up unless I am pushing the car hard.
 
i appreciate the guys who have supported me and sean in finding a solution to this problem, as i have said me and sean are working together not fighting. i think after going through the wiring and the whole system over and over i believe its going to come down to either something inside the vec or the meth card. I have installed 4 vecs so far and not had any issues. but you can get a bad one in anything. B y the way , just when i have things calming down on this thread along comes a faggot to deal with, cant win.
 
If he thinks about it now is the time to do the forged bit...it will push up around $6000.
 
I am sorry to say guys, there will be no rebuilding this one. Behind the header on the drivers side are two more holes, in the block.I found them while i was starting to clean up the oil mess.

I had mentioned this long ago, that if I lost the motor in my truck, this engine would have gotten real serious consideration for replacing the V10.

Don't get me wrong, the viper engine is nice, but nothing sounds like a big block V8.
