debating whether or not to paint my tails, tint them, or get a cover
if im gonna paint them gonna put "fang" stencils for the light to come out

these r the covers i was looking at
http://www.streetbeatcustoms.com/Wa...Solid-Tail-Light-Guard-Covers-_-34806/575063/

also gonna put eyelids on wed. probably... was gonna cover the bottom orange reflector and the flat top part of the lights... debating whether or not i should do just that or have a slight angle on the front side of the lights... if ne1 understands what im trying to say lol

Those covers will get ya pulled over everytime you blink. Try tinting them, I wrote a DIY article on tinting and I never get hasseled by the legal guys.

VHT Nite Shades Spray Tint IMO. But if you drive your truck at night then don't tint ALL of the lens. That only works if you a) have secondary reverse spot lights or b) you never drive after dark. I do so tinting them while leaving the reverse clear was the only option. I purchased Smoked Recon LED lights so they'd be brighter under the 11-14 coats of VHT plus the reverse light I was going to keep clear, had a smoke effect to it already. 2c

Yes sir!!!!!!! The ones you did for me still look great!!!!!

If you are worried about light getting through you may want to get some LED tails. They shine through the tint very well (probably brighter than stock untinted).

Glad to hear that. I did get pulled over for my tinted lights, but the cop said I was going to write you up for tinted tails until you hit your brakes to stop and I could see the brake light perfectly, he said no problem, then wanted a walk around and look under the hood.

I always got pulled over with mine but I had stock tinted ones. Ill go the LED way next time. Wayyyyyyy brighter.

+1 on VHT Nightshades. Just don't use too many coats--the can says three maximum; I put on 5 and think I could have gone darker. I also installed LED bulbs, and it looks as bright as stock still.

U saying to swap bulbs for led or the whole light to an led setup... If I
gonna swap the entire light I might as well buy a black housing led tail light

You can get the LED replacement bulbs from any auto parts store. That would be the most economical route. :)

I have had the tinted tails since 2005, and the eye brows since 2008. I think they look fantastic, but that is just my opinion.

Bill.

I don't like the amber strip along the bottom get rid of those 06 headlights for a set of 07-08s then put the eyelids on JMO like mine
