I should be getting my rear leveling kit from Stinker tomorrow. Is there anything special I need to do or look out for when installing them? Or is it pretty straigt forward? Thanks as always.

Very easy install...took me about 25-30 min start to finish.....
A tip I was told by stinker is not to fully tighten the shackels until the truck is resting on the ground again!
O yea one more thing....be sure to grease them up real nice if not they squeak!

not too bad to do.

get some beer and pizza and have a low down party with Kickin:D

its pretty straight forward, you have to raise the rear of the truck by the frame so that the springs will "unload" once you get the wieght off the springs, loosen the bolts and make sure you dont have too much pressure on things, drop and swap, grease them really good, lowering it down, bounce on it a good bit to settle it, then tighten the ol girl up:D

Now if you want it a little lower, and dont tow anything, you can do as EMT did and remove the overload spring, a ltitle more work , but makes the truck look almost level

FUCK! I forgot the grease mine up when I installed them. Looks like I'll be down there again soon. Maybe I'll order some Cal tracs so I don't feel like I'm doing the same thing twice.

LIttle trick, raise up the rear just a touch, get some of that PBJ I think it is, at home depot is where I get it on the east side, and jsut soak it as good as you can,
but the newer ones dont seem to be bad as the first ones that went out

don't worry, you're not alone....i ran out of grease in the gun on my second one, and had no way to get any, so now I have the annoying squeak from it. so if i go down there again it's to grease and remove overload spring like EMT

Right on! PM on the way.

Very easy to do.litle tip. Before you tighten them up all the way have some fat ass sit on the tailgate. You get a little extra that way!!

what is the exact length of the drop shackles. i purchased my truck used and not sure if it has them on there already , it looks a little lower than stock but not sure if the original owner had them put on, any help would be appreciated !!!

To truly level it you need to remove the overload.

easy. like every on says don't tighten tell you get it on the ground.

I'd say they are 5 inches tall.

Tony, tony, tony...

Its PB Blaster...penetrating spray...

PBJ is also slippery but it damages things, PB Blaster helps to fix things...

I know of a couple of people that are going to flame me for that comment, but its how I feel!
