Intake manifold gasket 98 chev

So a friend of mine thinks we blew the intake manifold gasket on his 98 chev 5.7L when his truck started to over heat so he checked his oil an there was antifreeze in it and his rad was dry! So tonight we ripped it all down to switch out the gasket and this is what i seen couldnt believe my eyes when i seen this.

What the hell am I missing, what did you see? Looks like a blown gasket with water in the oil. I looked for a silhouette of Jesus or the Virgin Mary but I can't see it.
 
you need to change the head gaskets. after you have them checked for cracks. there is coolant mixed in the oil.
 
That engine looks like its been driven hard, I think the crud was holding it all together.:D Good thing is, those Vortec engines are dirt cheap.
