Intercooler Reservoir AC Chiller

I wonder if the stock cooling system can keep up with racing around + running the A/C in the hotter climates.

The oem system struggles. In my mind there are two components involved:

1. Having the lowest possible temperature going into the intake to allow maximum horsepower production without the negative issues of internal heat.

2. The IAT sensor will drive the pulling of timing via the CPU to protect your engine.

Both issues need to be addressed and the design of the AC unit routing seems to do that pretty well.

We need to remember that the stock system is designed to be utilitarian and mainly for street use...as intake temperatures rise (especially in warm climates) the CPU pulls timing which alters the air/fuel ratio to protect your engine...great for protection, not so great for putting power to the pavement.

I 'd wondered if Patrick's idea for adapting a cold plate technology into his humidor could also be applied to this use....

It's alot more high tech than the old coffee cans full of dry ice (wrapped with copper tubing) that we devised back in the mid 60's....

Youre a tad late I already made one myself back in September

I spoke to Joe today and he will be modifying the stock liquid line to accept the chiller unit. He said he would call me back tomorrow. I'm looking at all possible options at this point.

I'd be willing to get one of these, as I'm sure alot of others would.

Sorry about that. Hopefully I gave you the right number this time around.
