Interest in a smaller/more affordable Procharger setup?

Justin, I just wanna give you props bro. I think it's great what you're doing for the Viper truck community. Your nitros setup, single turbo, and now the procharger... you're just making us better, stronger and faster:burnout: Keep up the good work:congrats:

Oops. Right words though...:D

Hey Justin, will you take a Paxton in trade :D
Give me some hard numbers Justin. I may be ready to go with the Procharger.

Basically with this setup to get 650whp a factory compression, mild cam, stocks heads and intake combination would achieve this. To reach the 900whp mark ported heads, intake, and more aggresive cam would be needed.

Is this correct or will the factory heads and intake be able to achieve the higher numbers?

sweet looking, but you say it is not a good setup for stock motor?:dontknow:

This smaller kit WOULD be made for stock motor with room to grow if you decide to rebuild to handle the extra power.

No trades lol. It will be right in the 7K range (+/- $500) for everything but fuel and tuning system. A real fuel system and a VEC3 would be about 3K more, but youll never have to upgrade again. I havent a kit yet so its impossible to put an exact dollar on it. It looks like I have a truck coming soon though for this setup, I will have exact#'s within the next 3 months or so.

I dont think any cam/heads/intake changes will be required to hit 850-900whp, it really depends on how much boost we can make on the shared belt assembly. Im debating on making two kits or a "high boost" option that uses a dedicated 10 rib or something like that, but then the brackets would be different most likely. IF the blower can make 15 psi on the shared rib setup (which is what procharger is telling me is going to be about the max on that belt setup) then we can make 850-900whp with stock heads/cam, just built shortblock. A dedicated 10 rib has made 28+ psi, so it would definitely work to make the big #'s, and the kit should be good for 1000+WHP with heads/cam. BUT your looking at another $700+ for the pulley adapter and crank pulley and idler. Thats the issue, I can make a 1000WHP kit, but why would the guy with the stock truck want to buy a kit thats 11K to make 650 when he can buy a roe or paxton for 7K? So im trying to consider options, I really want to try the shared belt first, but im not opposed to doing a dedicated belt drive if necessary. The truck thats supposed to be coming is heads/cam/built motor RC, so it will allow me to test the high boost levels on the shared belt. I also have a completely stock QC that MAY be coming, so that would test the opposite end of the spectrum as well.

Well you have me back to the drawing board again. At first I was considering the F2 but felt it was a little too much for me. This would be perfect, running high levels of power on factory heads, cam, etc. Then in the future have the option to upgrade heads, cam, etc along with a different belt system to reach insane hp levels. Nice work Justin, keep it up. I will for sure be in line for one of these systems.

In the picture you posted what is the extra belt on the front of the pulley going down for? Is it for a external oil pump?
you are exactly right that is the belt driven external oil pump

The blower will be here this week and I have the intercooler core as well. The truck should be here soon to get started on this project, im very excited!

Still waiting on the truck to arrive, should be soon I hope. I am very excited to get started on it!

Sounds interesting but after blowing a motor that was supposed to be safe for stock bottom end. I'd be leary of going FI without forging regardless of the boost level.

Boost in moderation with a solid, conservative tune, and some common sense applied to driving habits? Should not be a problem. It's the last part that tends to make the most trouble (followed very closely by the quality of tuning).;)
