Interest in a smaller/more affordable Procharger setup?

It sure is tempting. Its not the plan I had in mind but with numbers like that now thinking hard on it. Justin you have any info you can send me as far as you installing it and any other recommendations.

Hey Justin what all internal engine up grades will one have to do for a set up like this. I know the tranny will need up grades and rear axel for drag slicks or radials.

The system can be pullied to produce whatever boost you desire (within reason), so if you want to run in on 5-8psi and stock internals/trans/etc. it should provide no issues assuming you have a good safe tune. Obviously anytime you modify any vehicle beyond the stock power level there is a higher chance for failure, so this needs to be taken into consideration for any power adding modifications. To achieve power levels near/equal to Johns truck you would need at bare minimum a built trans, forged pistons/rods/head studs/etc. The rear axle would be dependent on the tire used, and the engine would certainly benefit from ported heads, custom cam, billet mains, etc.

ok thanks for the info building my notes up.:rock:

Since none of the other guys are answering I will. I talked to John a month or two ago about this setup and he was very happy with it. He said that streetability is not a issue, he even said he would have no problems letting his wife drive the truck. Just had to be careful how far and fast you push the throttle petal. He told me that it currently was running 975hp at the wheels and he was planning on having more tuning done.

The cog belt requires some maintenance and only will last so long, but it is capable of pushing more boost. I decided to go with the serpentine setup for this reason, Justin figures the serpentine belt is good for 850 RWHP which is good enough for me.

My setup was just shy of $10,000 US, I bought the blower setup, big intercooler, full fuel system including injectors, 3 pump system, lines, rails, regulator, fittings, etc, and had most everything coated one of the specialty colors.

HOLY CRAP!!!!! That's awesome!!! Start buying tires. And some hybrid decals because that beast will eat gas and tires!!! Whoo whoo!!! I need a fricken lotto win!!

I like how u said 850 is good enough for you ( for now, lol)Tyler!! Your not stopping till you get 1001HP!:burnout: Lol

I'm shooting for 851HP! LOL!:D

Thanks for the info. Yeah 850 would do me well LOL. Id rather go with the serpentine setu as well. Was is just roughly 10K for just the kit and extra parts you have ? Were you already forgerd from the jump or stock? etc....

Yellowfever#154 and i have identical builds, fully forged and ready to rock!:burnout:

NOt to get into you guys business too much but how much was invested to go completely forged? ball park figure.:dontknow:5K-10K

I didnt talley it up exactly as I didnt want to really know (didnt want the wife to know), but I think my build was in the 16K range.

The only additional thing needed would be a tuner. I decided to stay local and buy a tuner from the person that is going to tune it.

Justins kit has everything needed and he fully customizes it to each persons wants and needs. We exchanged probably 30 pm's in the beginning, so he could build this kit exactly for what I wanted to achieve. Right down to the smallest details, brackets for the fuel regulator, specific colors for each component (some components I asked to have two different colors), etc.

I believe that this can be run on a stock bottom end, just have a competent tuner do the tuning. Then in the future when you build the engine all it takes is a pulley swap to build more power. Justin's fuel systems are good systems that can handle as much power as you could ever produce. There is no buying a kit now then replacing the components with better parts as you try to build more power. This kit is the best bang for the buck, it may cost a little more than some others in the beginning but is worth it in the end by a long shot.
