Just wondering if there is a guru type guy that knows anything and everything that can be done or cant be done to these trucks..............or would I have to look for a Viper Tech? most of my questions would be towards the motor/transmission

whats the question? Im sure some of the Gurus in here will answer them for ya...and just like TN said...Tony is da man!!

You mean like the Viper Wizard, only for the trucks? I vote for Stinker too--he could be the Viper Warlock.

they got ten cylinders, the oem pistons and rods suck for big hp,
the blocks actually move around a bit, the mains are known to walk around under nos, the oiling system is poots, oem valve springs float at high rpm, and the oem push rods flex wildly, and the lifters bleed down way to fast at high rpm and cause the cam profile to actually change. burp
the autos suck under nos, they dotn react quick enough and fry the bands, if you upgrade them to where they can hanlde hp , they hit so dang hard it will make a pregnat woman go into labor.
the manuals are pretty good, but bearings and pads are a little weak
the gear oil dodge puts in them would be better used for a outboard marine motor

oem hp on a stock qc is around 410-420
on an rc 420-430
a cold air makes no hp, do a drop in
best bang for the buck is a sct to flash out the trq tranny limiter
and cut off all the cats

You forgot to mention the yellar ones are ugly and slow......:itsme: :p

gibson headers are just for looks

bissani shorties make good hp and are reasonable if youcan find them

long tubes actually make killer trq, but are also 2k for most of them

catbacks range from $400-$1400

from mbrp to Billy boat

rear spider gears are weak and should be cryoed if you plan on track days, and a line lock is a must if you plan on burnouts

change the fluid, the govoner solonoid and adjsut the bands frequently in autos, a xtra cooler and a deeper pan is a good option.

thermostates dont make hp, but under hot areas do keep thetemps down if you turn the fan on earler

a bbk tb works well and makes hp, but they are still having some stickng options

a ported tb does wonders

change the plugs out every 15k , and wires at around 20k or upgrade them

use something thicker than dang 0w-40 oil palease:D

and use rejex wax, I jsut became a dealer fo rthem LOLOLOL
