IS THIS WHAT I HAVE TO LOOK FORWARD TO IN TEXAS

This is totally out of the norm, usually by this time of year it's 100+ and hasn't rained for weeks...
Glad to hear that. I just talked to someone there and she said its all clear and beautiful...

i lived in the dallas area for around 5 years----most of the time it was dry and draughty----the one thing is watch out for the hail storms ---they roll in fast----find a garage or tree to park under

I would ask the same for CA...:D
so true... i'm ready to get out of here before our fire season starts... it did not rain at all this year.
earthquake should be soon, been 13+years...

I got about 8 inches here and the family got about 15 inches at the ranch house. My friends in granite shoals and marble falls got 18 inches in 24 hours, 11 of that was in 2 hours. Hotrodmike lives out on a road that I read was closed not sure how he is doing, maybe he will chime in. Its feast or famine here and there is never a happy medium. Its amazing that we have all these man made lakes in Texas. Several hundred and only one lake in Texas is a natural lake that is Caddo. The river that runs through my neighborhood took a life last month a few blocks from me.

This time the gates were closed early and it was blocked. This creek was above what you see in the video this week. I have seen it go from a foot to 4 ft over the bridge in minutes.

Weather is perfict here, everythings green. (NW texas, Canyon) it rained only 3 inches a few days ago. I moved here from southern California a year ago and love it. Someone gave me $700K for my $16,000 track home in Little Saigon:dancing:

Yupper Austin is out of the question for a bit ,just too far out of the way since the road is busy being a lake . 1431 closed thurs and it keep rising last check the water was about 6' deep over the road and expected to get to 9-10' by Mon . Then if it doesnt frigging rain sum more it should start dropping . We stayed dry but should we are up pretty high . Marble Falls looked like a war zone with cars over turned and the asphalt just gone from sections of road . I do not think I will be at the lake this summer ,just something about the water . After seeing all the trash and debris in the water including dead animals like deer and cows floating down stream .
Well one plus to this may be hunting season as a lot of the game fences were washed down at several exotic animal ranches <VBG>
Have A Kind Day

I think a friggin ark would be in order at this point...

I was stationed there in the '70's a couple of times. I remember being in a cave once and they sounded an air raid horn and told everyone to get out NOW!. By the time I got back in my "car" the road I came in on was about 3 inches deep. Flash flooding down there sucks bad.
