MWD/LWD tools. The one I specialize in is the most complex in the company. It's 32 ft long and weighs between 2600 to 6800 lbs depending on the desired hole bore diameter. It containes 56 seperate electronic boards and over 2km of wiring. It costs half a million and is a serious pain in the ass to ship over seas.

Yes most of the product lines operate that way (azi and inclination with real time measurements). MWD - Measurement While Drilling and LWD - Logging While Drilling tools.
