Jan 19/20th - West Coast and AZ GTG, and Track Day.

Ok take a few of us off the list Scott we will not be attending.....


So Saturday the 19th who ever is going to be in town let's do a dinner or somehing at Hooter's......Who is down and let's decide where to meet if not then who wants to do a Tombstone GTG....Pic's would be cool for the traveling banner :rock: I guess I will hand off the banner to one of the Tucson guys for the GTG and they can bring it back on their way back or something like that.....Anyone got some ideas for Saturday :dontknow: :D

Yeah.. i am in process of posting a cruz path, and fun stuff to do along the way...
 
Ok Scott whatever :D I don't know to many sane people willing to fly 2k miles to do a cruise :dontknow: :D So that's why I brought up Tombstone for the guys that will be here Saturday a SRT rally from Pheonix to meet up with the Tucson guys if they are willing....Pic's and a dinner at Big Nosed Kate's or something....This is just an idea I am working on since Sunday Begood is flying back in the morning....I would be able to possibly go to the GTG afterwards however it would not feel right to me w/o Billy and Will able to attend. I think that's a little better then just a cruise and dinner...But we will do whatever the majority wants on that day I guess....So my thinking is since nothing is set in stone for that day anyway.....Let's do something fun :rock: Or we could meet up at my place for a BBQ and slide show of me frolicing about in the desert with little more then a Sombrero on :elefant: Don't believe I got pic's like that...........Ask Shawn Muhahahahhahaha :rock:
 
Cruz Suggestion:

Start out at Arrowhead mall behind the food court area (upper level, rear), in Peoria. Head east on Bell Road to 75th Ave, then north to the 101.

Get on the 101, and head east to Scottsdale Road (WATCH YOUR SPEED HERE. PHOTO RADAR!!!!), head south down Scottsdale, through old town Scottsdale, then east on Thomas back to the 101 South, to 202 Loop East, getting off on Alma School, making a immediate right on Mcllellan, to Country Club, past Country Club, to Grand (4 way), right on Grand to Hunter (1st left), annoy 3rd house on right, goto stop sign at end of Hunter, turn left (north), to next stop sign, turn right (east) to traffic light (Center Street), then right at Center, to next traffic light (Brown), go east (left) at Brown, take brown (follow the leader, many miles), to Apache Trail (highway 88), follow 88 past Canyon Lake, then Apache Lake, follow out to Tortilla Flat, and turn around (this is a nice windy fun road!!) heading back to Apache Lake, stop at the Marina and eat dinner.... (?).

Head back toward town, stay on 88 (Apache Trail) to Idaho Road, then head south (left), to US 60..... thats all I have for now...
 
I think what got this all balled up was someone started posting about some other SRT event not related to ours at Firebird.... and was posting it in the same thread as this event...

We could rally also to Tucson.. I aint been there in sometime.... (several years..) nor have I ever been to Tombstone....

Big Nosed Kats is a fun place ill be down for whatever lets just make up are minds and have a GTG not half the group here and the other half somewhere else.

Just got off of the phone with Chuck in Wyoming he is down for that as well...i was going to call and bounce the idea off of you but no need now.....Unless Windy want's to talk LOOLOLOL :rock: Hehehehe :p Ok I will start a new thread and see what's shakin :burnout: :burnout:
 
Scott, this is just an idea. I don't want to put that many miles on my ride. Some of the Guys mentioned they wanted to go to Barrett Jackson and some would like to go to the Firebird Event. If we started in the Tempe Area around 3 (midway from both events) then Old Town Scottsdale on to the Pavillions Car Show for a short stop then on Bell Road to 83rd and north to the 83rd Car Show for a short stop and then to Arrowhead area for dinner. This could take 3 or 4 hours. Suggest we stay away from the freeways or we will lose half the troops. Once the DPS spots us they will be on the look out. Remember it's Saturday and the task force is out there.
 
This seems to be getting out of hand! I thought the idea was to get together meet each other, a lot of us for the first time. Sounds like the GTG is starting to split and that's a bummer. If we went to Tucson or Tombstone we would be spending 4 to 6 hours on the interstate and a lot of gas. Some will have the better gas for the track.
 
Guys I am talking about Saturday and I thought it was a better idea then driving around Scottsdale is all....Some of us will not be attending Sunday due to all the confusion, dates and flights got jacked...So I proposed another idea for things to do in place of a cruise....Oh well this is what always happens with AZ guys anyway......I will just ask Bill what he wants to do and do that..If that is nothing so be it....:D
 
Mikey, you could take in the Firebird event for awhile join the cruise and then have fun at dinner at Arrowhead. Stay till 11 or whatever then head to Tucson. It's approx. 2 hours all freeway. They Guys from out of town would get to see alot of AZ. Just a thought, cause I'd like to meet all of you.
