JMB catless mids - install tips for 2006 Quad Cab?

Hi there,

I went to install the catless midpipes today on my 06 quad cab with cat-back Magnaflow and the passenger side midpipe appears to be about 4 inches too long.

Any suggestions?

I installed mine on a 05 QC. I did a little trimming to fit on mine, but I was installing to a already modified cat back. Cutting them down is not a big deal though. Just make sure to cut the right end

ACK!!! I just got my shipment notification...
I have never done exhaust work. I’m installing these on a 05 QC with a stock manifold and stock catback system. Help!!! I’m starting to get a little apprehensive about the install… :afraid: :afraid: :afraid:

They were a pain for me as well. I was able to fit them on without cutting off anything. Just make sure you disconnect the battery before doing taking off the manifold bolts on the drivers side.

I installed my jmb mids on my 06 qc with little problems,the 2' H between the catback and the mids I had to stretch the opening alittle use some liquid soap to make it slick and slide the mid all the way into the H pipe as far as you can get it.I also installed Bassani headers & a borla catback at the same time.Also there's some play in the angle you install maybe look at your rubber mounts on your catback maybe some play there to.Hate to cut something that was made to fit.I might be intrested in your stock mids when you get them off,PM me
