Well I'm back to a stock clutch with the JMB Viper slave/master cylinder install. I just wanted to post this to thank Justin.
The install took about 6 hours for me, my brother, and father to complete.
So far I have had no problems, I'm going to break in the clutch, 500 miles, 440 left, and go from there. I have had none of the prior issues with the clutch slipping and burning while in traffic or pulling into my garage at an incline. I have had it in situations where before with the Centerforce, it would have slipped and burned.
Also I checked the Centerforce disk when we pulled it out and it does have quite a bit of life left. However it was actually in worse condition then my original stock clutch disk. The Centerforce disk had lost twice as much material when measured agianst a new Centerfoce, as the original stock had lost against the new stock. The original stock had 5500 miles and the Centerforce had 7500 miles. I was very suprised to see this because the stock clutch had a major clutch burning incident a few days after I bought the truck.
What we did notice is that the Centerforce presure plate was in fairly good shape. It had a few minor burn marks. The orginal stock presure plate was burnt to hell, it had burn marks all over it.
We debated using the Centforce presure plate with a new stock disk combination, but decided against that for now.
My original problem of not getting the truck in reverse when it is at normal engine temp is now gone. I believe it was attributed to the clutch not releasing due to poor hydraulic pressure.
I just wanted to thank everyone for their input and advice with this problem, and the previous problems I have had with the truck. And a big thanks to Justin, JMB.
