Pay Range is: $80-95k.
Under the general and/or direct supervision of the VP, Information Services with additional oversight of a Security Steering Committee, serves as the senior individual responsible for information security, including disaster recovery. The Information Security Manager will have responsibility for the management and use of effective security measures and technical solutions to protect data, ensure secure storage, retrieval, and reporting while maintaining integrity, privacy, confidentiality, and availability of that data. Ensure proper conduct of personnel in relation to the protection of data through the development and implementation of practical and achievable policies and practices for the protection of business and patient information regardless of media or delivery mechanism. Ensure compliance with federal and state laws and regulations and standard industry practice policies and procedures relating to information technology security. Bachelors degree, preferably in Computer Science, Information Systems/Technology, Health Information Management, or related field. Three or more years in a management position in information technology (healthcare experience desired), health information management and/or health risk management required. Five or more years of progressive experience in computing and security, including experience with Internet technology and security issues. Excellent verbal and written communication skills. Must have an understanding and working knowledge of information security laws (HIPAA and accepted industry practice), knowledge of various health care privacy, security and associated laws, rules and regulations including all applicable JCAHO standards. Experience with disaster recovery planning, auditing, risk analysis, business resumption planning, and contingency planning a plus. International Information Systems Security Consortium CISSP Certification required or obtained within 12 months.
