Just How Little Do You Know...

I just pointed out to a long time SRT 10 owner...that the engine is off set to the passenger side. Name will remain shrouded in secrecy...

I had a guy last week point out that it had a bed and you could carry things in it.

I still don't believe him.;) :D :D

He obviously did not know what he was talking about. This is an SRT 10 not a GMC (sorry Mikey).

When's that bad boy going to come to life Eric?:dontknow:

The next stop is Hogan's. The intake is coming off (wish I'd had this in mind before I installed the engine...) to be shipped to them so they can duplicate the sensor ports. More importantly, I had the factory intake port-matched to the Strikers, so they can make the new manifold pre-matched to the heads. Smart, huh?

If I can at least get that in process, that will get me moving again. In the mean time, I have to figure out what my dealership did to my STS Vette when they swapped out the clutch gear. I have oil in the tailpipes, and that was never the case previously (they're trying to tell me the turbo seals are bad, and I know damn well they don't spontaneously fail). Plus, the last time the wife drove the '74 Vette, the shifter broke. That leaves us with the Escalade and my work vans running, so I really ought to deal with those first.

It's always something.

have you installed your axle yet?

Nope. Still shrink wrapped to the pallet. I did find a local shop that builds performance 4x rigs, so this will be a cakewalk for them. Oddly enough, turns out they are customers of mine. They also turned me on to a local driveshaft builder, so we'll get that done at the same time (as well as the safety loop).

At this point I'd just like the opportunity to get the truck broken in (engine, clutch, diff, brakes), and get a few passes under my belt before the season ends. I have a lot to learn, as I've never made a pass on the strip. Just going to start with some half-track passes, and get the feel for the truck.

In regard to the Corvette, it sounds to me that they went for a joy ride.

Did you record the mileage?

It's recorded each time it goes in. I might just have to check the records.
