...in a van, down by the river...
there are still good people in the world that care about their customers...

i had my driver's seat torn apart and rebuilt today...from sitting down with a screwdriver in my pocket:mad:....

well i get to the shop today to pick up the seat and he's rebuilt the bottom cushion...from 4 years of constant in-and-out...and he's sewn in new leather side pieces and vinyl on the side where the controls are...

i asked him if he did it (because it looked new, but i didn't ask him to, and it was tolerable) and he says "yeah, well, i had some extra laying around the shop, so we just did it...it was starting to crack on the vinyl anyways... "i'm not gonna charge you for it, tho... and the seat cushion was all messed up and splitting at the bolsters...so we took care of that too"...just because it makes his job look better, too...and all i needed was a suede insert replaced!

it's like a whole new seat!...holds my ass tight again like it did when it was new!:D

there really are good people in the world...honest people, and car people...

it's just comforting...and i wanted to share...

good deal man those people are hard too comby nowadays. sounds like you met one

Glad to hear it.Wish I had met him when I got the leather seat in my 99 fixed. It is usable but looks fugged up from what it was new:(

There are still a few of those guys around. You are doing the right thing by sharing the experience. That is what will KEEP them around and hopefully be a lesson to others.

I agree! You should post the name of the shop. Definately want to keep that type of person in business.

Theres a good point, I'm sure there's others that for sure would use him if they knew where he was at!!! Now that's awesome customer service, just doing what's right and making it right!! And your right, there seems to be few and far between guys like that still around!! Great to hear :)

Excellent! Now there's a customer (and return business) oriented shop. Several places around me that do the same.

That's awesome. I almost needed one of those guys. I sat in the truck one day with a construction pencil or whatever its called, those flat ones you get from Home Depot. I got lucky and just scratched the leather with pencil tip. I was afraid to look at the seat after I did it.
