I got a "LAMP OUT" error code flashing in my face everyday, but all my lights are working, how do i take this off? :dontknow:

drive off a bridge...yep...that'll fix that bastard! :D

i don't mean to be redundant, but are you SURE you don't have a light out?

low/high beams, fogs? front and rear blinkers, running/brake lights...rev lights, 3rd brake AND cargo lights? any interior lights? underhood light?

Are any of your lights aftermarket? HID, LED?

disconnect the neg. cable on your battery for a few minutes, won't hurt anything. if it comes back on i would check all the bulb connections (pull them out and push back in)

if your lights are all factory, then replace both the rear tail lamp strips.

Black electrical tape. just stick it on the dash over the "Lamp out"... Or take the dash apart and pull the bulb.

Nah all joking aside, if you have HID or LED, you need to install a resistor inline. Shoot me an pm, i have 2

What he said^^^^
Also clean the sockets and make sure bulb are installed the correct way. Double check the brake lights, Hazzards, turn signals, even both license plate lights. I honestly don't think the license plate lights and cargo lights are in the circuit, but check anyways.:D

From the pics, looks like he has aftermarket halo headlights, yellow fogs, and the 2500 style tail lights.

Yup and any of the bunch could cause the LAMP OUT. Alot of those HID kits require a ballast to prevent LAMP OUT indicators from displaying.:dontknow:

ill try the neg disconnect wire after work. will post if it worked.

BTW i have two batterys under the hood. should i disconnect both negs?

YES disconnect both negatives and touch them to the positives. This will clear the PCM memory adaptives.

NO you should not have 2 batteries. Just two trays since they used the 3/4 Diesel chassis.;)

Nope, won't harm your tune as it is flashed into the permanant memory of the PCM and can only be unflashed and reflashed. Maybe magnetized, lol;):dontknow:

Bet you it's the rear taillight bulb sockets, mine did that for months.

would replace bulbs back there, and 2 weeks later they would be blown out again. got 2 new ones, never a problem since.

im going to do that this weekend. i bought the two strips for the taillights and used the same bulbs, well the lights worked this time and figured it was a bad circuit. but my LAMP OUT was still on..figured it would ride out and go away. 5 weeks later its still there. last night i disconnected the battery for a couple of minutes to see if that would work, it didnt. now i will buy new tail light bulbs for the rear and see if that works.
