I just got a set of LED tail lights for free. The problem was the previous owner did not have them hooked up properly, he just had the extra wiring tucked in behind the driver side tail light. I am looking to see if anybody has a diagram of how they are supposed to be wired in to prevent the turn signals from flashing fast and having the lamp out indicator lit. Any help is appreciated.

Turn signals blinking fast is not from bad connection. you need resistors for that. So i am guessing they are not plug and play?

Mine are plug and play, never heard of ones needing to be wired in. My old 05 ram was plug and play too, interesting........

some led tail lights have a separate resistor. It plugs in between the light and the stock harness...I have a mint set of led tail lights but i dont have the resistor to plug them into the stock wiring and the company wont sell them unless i buy a whole new set...

It says Sonar on the lens so I assume that is the brand. Let me see if I can get some pics up.

They look similar. If you could do that it would be great. Thanks.

Well I can't load a pic for some reason, but I don't think it would help anyway. My tail light assembly plugs in like the standard ones. It does have a circuit board inside the housing, I suppose the resistor is in there. The backup light is a standard bulb. Maybe someone knows what voltage the led's are, and you could buy resistors at radio shack.

I appreciate your help anyway thanks

I spent some time with the tail lights. I had just thrown them in at work to drive home. I found the yellow wire to the right side tail light was broken at the connector causing the lamp out indicator and causing both the right and left side turn signals to flash fast. I just can't figure out why it effected the left side to flash fast. I appreciate everyone's help and input.
