Now that I have your attention, I just bought the JMB black grille and I was wondering how I take out the old one and put this one in. Do I need to buy anymore of the plastic push thingies?
I took the front of the hood off so I could lay it flat. I ground off the heads of the plastic thingies....some guys drill them out...I was worried my drill bit was bigger & longer then most Once I did that I pop riveted the new one in place. took about an hour and half from start to finish.
i bought a couple dozen new plastic doohickeys from my local dodge dealership to replace mine. I think they cost a total of 20 bucks. But some guys say you can actually push the middle with a really really small nail or some other type of poking device (Like the sickness' weiner ) and reuse the originals.
I broke a lot of the plastic things that hold the grill on when I did the top drill myself, so buy some extra.
As far as the lower grill goes. You have to take the entire thing off. I had a body shop do it because I didn't want to have all the stress on removing it.
Good luck. You will be more than happy with Justin's offering. He does great work.
