I have been a member on the forum for a long time. I post here and there, but there rarely goes by a computer login that I don't hit the forum for a look and everything. So its going to come as no suprise that I have read how everyone loves there none oem or should I say there none oem pos shifter(sorry hurst I gave you let me see a dozen phone call's. If you where part of one of the LARGEST AFTER MARKET parts companys in the world MR GASKET or as they refer to themselves "EVERYTHING PERFORMANCE" then come on what the heck how much r&d would it take there like 300 or so engineers in house to build me and you and all SRT -10 RC owners some dam shifter that had more than a bic pen spring in it. All I wanted was a adequite shifter that said freaking hurst on it. But I digress). I really could't afford the x-metal shifter it looks like a mechanical masterpiece, but if spend 500+ clams on a shifter. I kept pondering buying one from the b&m group buy from a vendor in california but for like a think 249.00 plus shipping, but just never did. Then over last weekend I was talking with JMB Justin at his shop and he showed my his b&m and said how well he liked it and how it performed(did mention I love his traction kit!!! but again back to the point.) So I'm surfing the internet and find on ebay a b&m shifter from a non vendor of the forum so I won't say there name but I did recieve a free speed t-shirt with purchase if thats a hint. I order it on tuesday for 228.95 and hold on folks free dam shipping, my total cost for this ingenuise little devise 228.95. Hold on folks It gets crazier it's delivered on weds to my house not even 48 hours later( I mean my overnight on my axim from dell was like three days!!! but back to the point) So I get this installed thursday and I take truck for a little spin and holly crap my truck actually has a third gear and it's actually after second, not I'm in first, I'm in second, dam where's third, whoops there it is, ok now I'm sortta in it. And I can even downshift now, who "would'a thunk it". So the moral of the story is kids if your on the fence about a aftermarket shifter, no matter if its a x-metal gen shifter or a b&m shifter buy the dam thing you DO NOT KNOW WHAT YOUR MISSING!!!!!! And to Gary at x-metal and the B&M shifters engineers thanks for the work you do for us, and most of all to the engineers at Hurst you @#$%!!!:burnout: :burnout:
