I've asked this before and was told RC and QC use the same tire stock but...

The factory service manual says the QC has four season and the RC has three season tires?
Read somewhere else that they have different DOT codes?

Does anyone know for sure?
my pirelli p-zeros are stamped qc are the reg cabs stamped rc?

I have a RC and just checked one of my tires:

DOT JR 75 E871 0907

Have no idea what it translates to, maybe I'll send Perelli an e-mail.

I just bought the General Grabber UHP from discount tire for $159 each with a $40 rebate, free shipping as well.

I'll let ya'll know how I like them.

Well I ordered my BFGs yesterday...should be here next Monday. They are going to look hot.

Tires

Just installed the Conti's about 2 weeks ago.

Much better handling, less noise, feel softer, less harshness in ride quality over the
Nitto 420 S's
&
Perillis

Will have to see how well they last and grip for the drag/road course.

But soo far they are a great tire for the price.

coopers zeon xst

I put a set of Cooper Zeon XST's on and the ride and traction are far better then the Pirelli's, They are a 6ply sidewall also,They seem to stick to the road alot better,The Pirelli's are stupid priced up here $750 a tire compared to $273,then times that by 4!!The Coopers look great also!:burnout: :burnout: :burnout: :burnout:

I have had these on for about a month now. I like the ride, the look, and the price. I think they have more road noise than the stockers, in the rare case that I take a call on my cell while driving ;) I have a much harder time hearing than I did before.

All in all, a good tire for the price so far..

can some one tell me why the PIRELLI SCORPION tires got the most votes? and every one i talk to says they are buying some other tires.........this poll just makes it harder to buy the best tires for our trucks wtich i'm about to do.......i have gone thru 3 sets of pirellis in 32,mils......what to buy????

"Best" is such an open-ended term.Best in handling ? Or best in traction for drag racing ? Best in tread life ? Best in looks ? Or best as in price/value ?

My "favorite " right now is the General Grabber UHP.Rides good, good traction, great price, looks good, and handles well.

As far as speed ratings go,I think the higher speed ratings are mostly irrelevant.I think they have more to do with SUSTAINED high speeds,NOT the occasional high speed short run. But,I could be wrong. The Pirelli's that came on the truck = suck !

Pirellis suck?? Why would srt engineers Put them on than? I mean if your going 155mph Wouldn't those be the ones you guys would trust:dontknow:
I'm nervous now

Typically people will go with what they know....:dontknow:

well i know the PIRELLI tires don't work in the wet and only last ME about 10,xxxxmils... the lasteing part is not so big but a all year round tire....i drive my truck all year round so i'm thinkin of buying something that works a little better on wet roads and yes sometimes go out to places where i can hit over 3 digits on the speedo(track-strip what ever)maybe i'm asking for something i can't get ...eney help? thank you all......

I just bought my truck last month, an 04 RC. I've got the Coopers on mine, and I've found they are really good in the snow (I'm up in north-eastern Alberta).

I don't vote, becouse i've 1° equipment on the truck.
Pirelli of course.
I drove it on mountain road with rain, and they were good. I drove it on a race track with rain ( no drag race ), and they weren't so good ( but of course on public road you drive safely).
I drove it on a race track with the sun (no drag race), and they were great.
So, for me Pirelli are very good
