I just bought a new television manufactured by LG Electronics...

Does anyone have experience with LG Televisions?

The one I purchased is a 55 inch plasma flat screen that was rated as the best by Consumer Reports...

Just wondering what I am getting into...

By the way...I met a creative sales person in the process...the TV is about 36 inches high with the normal pedestal...and it won't stand without the pedestal...my cabinet opening is only 35.25 tall...

The first salesman said "Sorry, it won't fit."

The second salesman said "Ok, delete the pedestal and mount the tv on a telescoping arm attached to the wall behind the Media cabinet and cut a small hole in the back of the cabinet to allow the arm to extend into the cabinet!!!

The second sales man was a problem solver and sold the concept! The first sales person is probably going to fail at his job.

Every hotel I have stayed in the past two years, now have LG flat screens in the rooms. That is A LOT of TV's. I think it's a Korean company. A close friend of mine, is a manager for an appliance chain on Long Island, sold me a LG front loader washer. He said no major complaints. I added a 10 yr warranty. That's all I have Roy. :)

Had a 42 LG and it lasted 2 1/2 years. Throwing it out the front door into the yard when the now X wife came to take it may have had something to do with that:dontknow:

havent dealt with lg much, i have a washer and dryer that are lg's my tv's are sony and vizio's. cool idea from the salesman, mine in my entertainment center in my bedroom wouldnt fit so i had to modify the top shelf. a drill and some dowel pins work beautifully. luckily the furniture was actually made out of wood...lol

:needpics:
You should be able to slide your memory card in and look at your trail cam pics too

Had not thought of that!

In all honesty the goal was to fill the space in the media cabinet...the 42 inch that is in it now just did not seem to be the right size for the cabinet...so the Sony 42 will go to the bedroom, the Sharp Aquos 36 will go to my office and the Samsung 22 will go to the garage or one of the guest rooms...

What a hassle...

got a 47in in the garage for ball games, i move it under the patio in the summer out by the pool. works well in the garage, too cold to smoke outside. i have a sony trinitron, one of the first flat screens if you will in my daughters room. im giving in to the inlaws. sumbutch weight 9000 pounds so im glad to be rid of it.

I have one of those old Sony Trinitrons too!

It is in one of the guest rooms, and it is staying there...it still works great, but even when it dies, it will stay in that room. There is no way I will ever move that television again in my life time! It is a three young man job to move it!

I have a 47" LG over my fireplace and love it.

I like their Cell phones.:D
I asked My GF's Daughter that has 9 TV's:dontknow: 2 which are LG"s ---She said Sony is the best....
I like my 40 inch Westinghouse.

Well, Prof....I bought an LG HD DVD/Blue Ray player before everyone went Blu-ray. It was expensive. I won't bore you with details and it's not a TV but I won't buy LG again because of this particular piece of gear. There is no support or upgrade for firmware and it didn't recognize basic formats

So I got the impression that LG just humped a bunch of junk to the market.

Hope your TV is great!!!! and offers years of trouble free service.
