Stay away from LG dehumidifiers. I had two - one in the house and one in the garage to tend to the truck. Both were purchased from Home Depot and both died in a year and a half. Had them both replaced under warranty after going through the hastle of taking them in to a distributor. Both replacements died within two years.
next time you need one, call me...i don't do that veneer crap...it's a copout, imo...and if you paid good money...it shouldn't be there...Prof said:

That's why I will never buy a Kenmore (Sears) ANYTHING.... you never know who it's made by.

We had to take the two vertical braces out of the top shelf to get the new screen mounted...they are fiber board with veneer. Does anyone use just wood anymore? For the price we paid for that custom made cabinet, I was a little surprised to see the veneer...[/QUOTE]
I'm surprised too...most of the high end custom woodwork is pricey and high end BECAUSE of the real wood throughout
I build my stuff out of the real thing but the cost per board foot is skyrocketing, especially for the exotics....more expensive than gold, literally.
It's still a great looking cabinet and the good news is that particle board, especially hardwood particle board (I assume you mean particle and not fiber)
is very stable. Real wood expands and contracts over time and it takes experience and preplanning to keep real wood where you put it and not end up with warps, angle changes, etc.
