Light weight battery?

Knowing this goes against the grain here but doing a little figuren I find that the $1,000 I spend on the light weight battery will take me 2,857.2 miles with my type of driving. Don’t do the ¼ mile, even tho VENOMOUS1 wants me to just to see what the results would be, but do drive about 600 miles a week. If I shed 20 more pounds from my belly (already done 23 pounds) and take the factory jack junk out from under the front seat seems I would save bout the same as the light weight battery and get 4.77 more weeks of pure driving enjoyment

Lol Shorty! You gotta realize Dom has the worlds Fastest SRT-10 so every ounce counts. He shed his jack long ago, although he could lay off the menudo and tortilla soup :burnout:

He has. It's called he gave JMB $$$ and magically the weight went down with custom fabbed parts

I don't run this battery in my truck but I have switched this battery around in my other vehicles. Never had a problem with it. It only weights 7 lbs.

JMB Justin...how much does your remote battery kit weigh? I have that in my truck and I have a Red Top Optima......I will go tomorrow and get the weight of the Optima...so I can figure the possible weight savings.

Youll save nearly 50#'s with this battery and my custom bracket. You can replace my cable with lighter cable for around $100 to save another 4-5 #'s

Odyssey PC680

A PC680 weighs about 15#'s, Ive sold about 500 of them with my neon lightweight battery kits. Definitely not enough juice for an SRT10 but a 4 cylinder starts easy with them. Good little battery for the price, if you ever need another let me know, I can beat anyones price.

You are correct. It's less than 15 lbs. I mistook the length for the weight.

I'll have to switch it out and try it this weekend to see what happens. It starts my other truck and all the other 8 cylinder vehicles just fine. I also used a Dyna-Batt for a number of years before switching to the Odyssey. I think it's the same battery if you ask me.

That's good to know on the price.

Did you take those batteries out of the Boeing 787 ?? Usually with batteries, the heavier the better the battery, more metal plates (lead) and more surface contact with the acid....my $.02

Like everything else, technology has drastically changed!! The weight isn't a true tale on batteries in today's market!!!
