Likes or dislikes, problems, w Transgo shift?

For those of you QC who have tryed the transgo shift kit, did you like it or did it cause ant problems, did you change to the gm selinoid too??

Transgo shift kits haven't changed since I bought my first one for the 426 Hemi Charger in 1973 ($17.00). Well, other than the price.
They have a stupidly harsh part-throttle 1-2 shift then kind of sloppy shifts after that. They work o.k. at w.o.t. though.
I have one in my tranny now. It works but it wasn't the best choice.

YellowVenom was saying that Dusty's valve body mods replace the shift kits and are a better way to go.

No, I went with the o.e.m. solenoid.

My tranny has been in there over a year, Transgo and all, and has seen a fair bit of drag radial duty without any complaints.

Yes Like Rotten Ronniie said I have the complte kit that Dusty - HTS Transmissions has recommended and his valve body eliminates the need for a shift kit increases line pressure to eliminate slipping that leads to failure! And his stuff is beyond reasonable and quick to get too even though Im up in Alberta,Canada it was recieved very fast! Excellent guy to talk and deal with,I highly recommend,2 thumbs up,Thanks again Dusty - HTS.

My Kit has been in for about 10k miles no issues except hard shifts into 2nd and 3rd, but thats normal.

I also support the Dusty solution. If you have a problem he will work with you to fix it. If you buy a TransGo you're on your own.
