Justin,
1)what's the cost for a complete line lock nowadays, packed and shipped to belgium?
2) Would you consider volume discount (we have group buy thread going on over here:D )
3)do we need to modify the brake lines in order to disable the rear brakes when the swith is on? Most drivers here have QC and it would be nice if we could control the front brakes only with the brake pedal while the switch would bypass the pressure to the rears:dontknow:

let us know bro.:rock:

yes just install it on the rear lines instead of the front lines,,,it would work backwards,, in you turn switch on before you hit your brake pedal ,,,therefor blocking brake presure for going to rear brakes while leaving fronts working by using petal,,,i think lines from kit would need to be a bit longer though is all ,,
the kit has instructions on how to install it either way :D

Question # 3 is moot.

The rear brakes do not need to be modified as the line lock keeps pressure applied to the front brakes when activated.

When the solenoid is activated it traps the pressure to the front brakes, thus allowing you to release the pedal and keep the front brakes applied. The rear brakes are not touched, nor do they need to be.

Justins kit has everything you need to do the install.

i know how the kit normally works dear admin:D and that you don't need 3 feet anymore when you have a SC. For QC's however it would be great if you can control the pressure on the front brakes with the pedal without applying pressure on the rears. if the lock is ON you can't control the pressure on the fronts do you? It's ON/OFF, not proportional controlable.
I guess worst case the kit would require a few new oil lines and a different solenoid connection.:dontknow:

the kit has instructions in it to install both ways ,,,,if you do it like you say you would turn line loc on BEFORE you hit brakes AKA shuting off rears ,,then you would only have brake preasure on fronts when you hit pedal,,i know someone that has it setup like that on a QC hemi truck ,,works just like you want yours to ,,no new parts were needed on his

GREAT, I was worried after reading Ironhead's post about "blocking" pressure from the rear brakes after solenoid activation. In that way :dontknow: one would still have to fumble with all three pedals. No offense James, but you had me worried for a moment. Keeping pressure ON the front brakes is what I hoped it would do. I'll be buying my kit after all then. Thanks Jack. How have you been feeling lately? I hope to see you in Macon in a couple weeks.

i did mine as fstjack explained it ,,but I was anwsering the #3 question ,,doing it on a automatic that way Floor is asking about works fine the way he wants it ,,seen it in person :)

AHHH, yeah I figured that out after I actually read everything AFTER I posted (see post #8). I gotta stop doing that. Oh and why are you on stealth mode? Your green light is off so I keep thinking you went beddy-bye.

mm dont know i never changed it ill look at it when im done editing some stuff

Most sanctioning organizations will not let you pass tech with what you are talking about. Check with you organization to make sure it will be OK with them.

I can understand why you would want to do it that way.

Being able to modulate brake pressure to the fronts only might be fun, in some instances.

Thanks for your asking.

I am getting better after 5 days in the hospital for cellulitas, (went in last friday).

I have got to take better care of myself and keep my feet and legs above heart level to keep it from happening again.

Dom and I are going to St Louis next week to drop his truck off, and pick up my red truck.

I am tight on funds right now so I don't think I can make Macon, I would like to but it is just not in the cards right now. I know you guys will have a great time. So I will be there in spirit, have a ball.

i know i know. Over here you may not change ANYTHING on stock brake system, not improve it by using stinkers SS lines
But what they don't know/see ....:p

Thats the way i'm gonna do it. I still wanna be fully in control of the brake pressure...SO press button so pressure doesnt go to rear brake and then your good

Thats what I've been woundering too, thats how I would like to do it too,so the brake pedal only operates the front brakes and bypasses the rear brakes, well thats good to know:rock:

I don't see where this would be needed.................:dontknow:

To burnout you push the brakes hit the switch burn out open the switch and race............

I use mine at stop lights and when i'm in drive thru's...................

I you want to modulate brakes use the foot valve ;)

Also if you activate the switch first and pump the brakes it brake pressure will bypass the spool and get trapped in the front brake system.
