long tube headers -- preferences ??

hey guys---

i'm considering long tube headers & would like to know what folks prefer & why......

is coating them necessary for heat transfer & which ones can be gotten with this already done? i really don't have any interest in wrapping them, besides what it will end up looking like.......

i've considered belangers with mids to my stock catback for cost savings.... b&b complete would be awsome, especially for mids swapout (being it's all flanged), but $4500.00 is a bit much.....

you guys are the best & i appreciate your opinions, thanks.

Mopar or Belangers would be your best bet, with the Belangers already ceramic coated. Either is an excellent choice, though I would tend to lean with the Mopar after seeing them in person.

Longtubes....I hear the Bellangers are the way to go.
I have the Basanni shorties....they work good.

i am going with the mopar headers with catless mids and coating them. i should have them on just after the new year. you know the holidays are coming.

I have the mopars and they are not coated at all. personally i like the look of the bellangers better but i found the mopars w/ catless mids on ebay for a steal "1,100 bucks"

coating them is recommended but i short cutted it! I'll eventually have them coated once I blow the motor and do a rebuild. w/ the 170 thermostat and a cool night crusin down the road the truck still runs right at 160-170. Max heat it gets in 90 degree temps is about 210.

I'd recommend getting a high flow muffler though......why spend all that $$ for headers and mids and then keep the restrictive factory cat back?

I have headers into catless mids into the magnaflow muffler and turn-down tips..." I don't have any of the pipe on which exits the muffler.

I have Belanger long tubes and Belanger mids with high flow cats. They are absolutely top quality. Fit and finish are awesome. Easy to install. Sounds excellent. Heat under the hood is dramatically reduced.

I highly recommend them.

i have the full set up from Bellanger mid, catback's and magnaflow muffler.
i think it sounds good and also it look's good!

Belangers work great for me. Good fit, look nice. Have a muffler shop take out the cats or install High flows.

Mopars with catless mids for 1100??? Yes Please!!, I was pretty sure that the mopars were 1500 and the mids <with sims> were ~400

yep.....but got lucky found someone who bought them prior to buying their truck and then boght a truck that already had them! So he didn't put a reserve on the auction and lucky me I won!:rock:

I have oredered my Mopar headers and mids (ceramic coating the headers ) from Roe. Should have them by December 2-3. Will post pics once install and prior to install.
