Look what showed up in the front yard this morning. The dogs were barking and then I hear the wife yell for me to "come outside!" This ol' girl climbed a 40 ft bank to "lay some eggs"!

Just put a "fence" around the eggs to try and keep them protected

I showed the wife what it can to to a dry stick...."snap" and it was into! They are actually pretty quick when they decide they are going to strike at something!

Good one! I grew up seeing these things all the time. Funny some of the stories told...."won't let go until it thunders'..."took a finger off"..."chopped off it's head and it still would not let go"...and so on. I did have an uncle that swore they were "good eating" though. We used to catch them alot when fishing and he would always take them

I remember all those sayings from way back....We caught them all the time when fishing...and I also remember first hand they were good eating...
