Lost keys?

What's the procedure to get new keys for the trucks? Take the serial number to the dealer and they can just hand me new ones, or..........?

Better stop by the bank for a loan on the way to the dealership....


And if you lost both sets, there going to need the truck too because of the SKIM


Otherwise, you can progam the key yourself if you have one good key

Dang kids were playing in the truck when I yanked the clutch out a couple weeks ago. I mounted the clutch last night. Go to fire it up, and then ended up spending two hours looking for my keys.

Haha. Already looked there, any other suggestions? Probably with the ones blanky, spent a hour tonight looking for it and I can't find it either.

Jeff is correct u will need to tow truck to dealership because they have to first cut your key(which can be done with vin) then program keys to your skim with your pin thats stored in skim module. Only cost like 100 bucks for programming of keys and fob but not sure how much blank keys and fob cost

That Really sucks!

I had only one key when I bought my truck so I had 2 more with fobs made and 1 without the fob. (on the 06 the fob is part of the key) I have one, the wife has one and the 3rd is in the safe.

The book says you need two keys to program one by yourself.

Yeah that sucks i lost mine for a few months in the winter when i moved so i called the dealer and they said, they can cut a key to unlock the door but the truck has to be brought into the dealer so they can cut a new key from the vin number, but you have to have ownership so had to run to the ministry to buy a new ownership to get a cut out to open the door all said and done would be around $350-380 with tow an new keys cut n programed, luckily i found them before i took it out of storage but man it would have been a huge pain in the a$$
