My friends SRT lower bushings are squeezing out of the steel shells. we purchased new ones from the dealer but there are a few differences. Larger bushing is bigger in diameter by .010 than original ans smaller bushing has the inner sleeve in pushed in deeper 1/4". Doesnt look like these are gonna work out too well, anybody have any suggestions?

As far as I remember the control arm assembly itself is replaced as a whole. Didn't think you could just replace bushings? Or maybe it's the ball joint that's only comes with new control arm? We have a couple Dodge parts guys here that I know have the correct answer.

What year SRT?

Control arm bushings are available seperately. Front bushing price is $24.00 and the part # is 52113029AA, rear bushing price is $53.60 and the part # is 52113056AB. Let me know if there is anything else I can help with. I don't have them in stock so can't look at them to verify any measurements. Sorry.

has anyone used a aftermarket bushing, was thinking they might make the ride harsh?

Did the part numbers that you got match the ones I provided? If the bushings are torn enough to allow movement of the control arm it could cause a noise and potential harsh ride.

Let me see if there are any notes, or tech tips when we look the part numbers up.

Talk to tony and get the poly bushings! The best answer by far! Do all the bushings and the steering rack bushings and the steering response is amazing! You will never go back to rubber!

Replacing with poly bushings is a good suggestion.
