Lowering Blocks are ready...

now did you get the 1.5" or the 2"?

Sharpi

I went for the two inch, I'll probably be installing them tomorrow, if UPS ever gets here with my package (it's on the truck out for delivery, wonder if I can hunt him down).

Do I need to lower the front to install the rear lowering blocks and not have geometery issues?

Steve as slow as these younguns are:D I may have to get you to send me a set and get some pics for ya:p

LOL!!! It may come to that for sure, I'm anxious to see some installed. We've sent several sets out, but I don't think we've seen any installed pics yet. Of course some of that is my fault, we screwed up the shipping on a couple of them and had to resend them...God only knows where they went...someone prolly ordered a steering wheel emblem and got lowering blocks, I bet they don't look good at on on the steering wheel at all...LOL!!!

So much discussion over this. Begood said he had his on for a while with no issues but I have heard others state that the handling got worse as a result of the geometery.

Where is this stuff coming from then? :dontknow:

We're not selling a "lowering kit". What we're selling is a set of blocks to lower the rear so that the truck sits level. They should not alter the steering geometry like a lowering kit that also lowers the front end would.

the others that said the handling became difficult is probably the same people that expect to buy a tornado at autozone and expect to gain 30hp an 4 mpg:D

seriously, In all truethfullness it does change the geometry, but only caster in the front end.
and it actually hanges it for the good, by reducing it a tad,but the change is so minute, I dont see how anyone could notice it .

I gotcha... I always thought the lowering kit was blocks and U bolts for the rear and new springs / shocks for the front.

If the lowering kits are basically the same for your blocks and the entire lowering kit, why would it not affect geometry?

I dont really want to lower my front but would like to have the ass sit down a bit. If I can do this by only added the rear blocks that works for me.

But what is it that affects the geometery then? :dontknow:

then you my good man need to leave the truck as it is:D

Huh? I want to lower the rear... If you say the geometery is not affected that much and only in a positive way, that works for me.

What do they cost and is it different for the 06?

Well, I want to be really careful here...I didn't say it affected the geometry in a positive way. I said it didn't lower the front so it should not effect the steering geometry like a total lowering kit would. I know that's splitting hairs, but I don't want to start any arguments...:) The blocks we sell are intended to lower the rear to the point that the truck sits level. There's nothing in the kit that alters to the front suspension at all so steering geometry should not be affected. They're the same for the 06's and the cost is $125 plus shipping.

No arguements at all bro.. :D Just genuine interest...:)

I want them. What is the size to make the 06 level since they come in 1/2" incriments?

Well, I'd recommend 2", I think 1.5" would still leave a slight rake although depending on your preference, that's not nessecarily a bad thing.

I don't think I quite qualify as a "youngun", beside, my shipment got messed up and I been waiting for them for a few weeks. As soon as I get them (today????), they will get installed for sure.

Course, I'll lose some gas mileage 'cause I won't be going downhill anymore

:dontknow: :burnout:
