M P G ?

[500H V10]

I get 14.0 to 14.7 to and from work. Stop and go 5 miles plus 8 miles on freeway.
I shift between 1500 and 1800rpm Level Ground only, accelerating lightly.
Definitly babying it. I shift about 2000rpm's if going up small hills or accelerating a little harder to get around some one.
These are torque engines theres no reason to rev it up alot in shifting gears unless your Hot Rodding around. This is not a small block low torque engine.
I light foot mine almost like driving a Diesel but I pay attention to it! Don't lugg it especially in 5th or 6th.

I would love to see 11 MPG!

My QC averages between 9.7 - 10.2 in the city. But I don't drive it easy either!:burnout:

I was getting 10.6 to 11.1 with my qc city and daily driving ---then the sct tuner came---dropped my mileage down to 9.2 and a best of 9.7.without putting my foot in it at all...tried different tunes and updates and am back up a little 10.2 city. I can not return it to stock tune,,,,does not do it...Even the rich will suffer when gas prices get to high.....

dude buy a POS and get yourself 20 mpg AND DRIVE YOUR TRUCK LIKE YOU STOLE IT.

That's what i did, just got me a $2,000 6 banger Jeep for DD (it gets about 17mpg)and i save my SRT for the weekends...:burnout:

ya bro shift it low like all recomend skip 1-4-6 and keep it in 6th on the hy and go 65mph.. and you will see 15 to 22mpg max.... not an issue... step on it once and kiss all your savigns goodbuy lol...

Guys...Thanks for any input you give...I bought this truck cause i wanted it...It's kinda hard not driving it hard...So i guess MPG will suck...Such is life I'm keeping it...

Me too. 2001 escape gets on average 19-20mpg. It gets me to and from work, and I have the 10 to have fun with
