basically what happened is I was in the left lane behind a van, I went to change lanes to the right. when I got there in the right hand lane there was a slow moving car there mind you i was traveling 60mph. The car was lost and didn't know whether they wanted to make the turn or not to the street coming up. I jammed the brakes hard and the truck started to slide the front tires overwhelming the ABS system. I realized there was no room to stop so I went for the shoulder of the road, luckily I was able to pass the slow moving car without any impact on the right of it but there was a culvert coming up. I braced for it and the truck back caught the edge of it causing a slight spin. I corrected but i was in gravel on the driver side and grass on the passenger side so the control of the truck was very limited. I was able to pull up out of the shoulder area but in doing so the right side of the truck started getting traction. I am heading across the lanes to the left now on 2 wheels skipping and I can hear in slow motion the wheels digging into the pavement and knowing that at anytime i can catch a bad bounce and the truck will roll over, a few times I saw the sky and NO road(bad feeling). by this time the front passenger wheel has rolled off of the rim causing even less ability to control the truck. As I go across the median and into on coming traffic. Miraculously i was able to manuver thru without contacting anyone, then sliding into a ditch nose first about 7 feet down missing a telephone pole by about 6" to the left. this is were everything came to a rest and I was getting my seat belt thanking god i was OK and not getting my but kicked by the airbags. been there done that still have the scars from them.
thanks for all the well wishes and yes i am glad I am ok somewhat. Oh yea i was the only person in the truck sorry for the confusion.
