Ok, so it's not like a choice between S/C and T/T, but...I thought it'd be kinda fun.

I've been staring at that empty battery box for a while now trying to think of a way to put it to good use. While transfering travel necessities (jumper cables, moto-straps, etc.) from the Durango to the new truck, it hit me:
How about putting a small storage box there?
The little extra weight will probably help balance out the big ol' battery on the opposite side. Let's see what's available....

And here's what I came up with:

OPTION A (closed)
OPTION A (open)

OPTION B (closed)
OPTION B (open)

This poll will close on Thursday right after Sapientiam shows up here at the house and we head over to the Mopar Nationals. The mod will take place shortly after his arrival.

Questions welcome!

Can I vote none of the above

Love the idea, just not what you've picked as your choices.

Besides, I think the heat might be hard on those types of plastic products

How about option c

A billet battery box , but use it for storage.Billet is so much cooler..Just my.02

Yer gonna need that space when you finally decide on the supercharger....

...............Give it time.....

S/C? No thanks.
Billet? HA! Nothing like a $400 box for jumper cables. :)

I searched for 2 days trying to find a metal 'toolbox' that's 13" x 8" x 7" (LxWxH). Didn't find jack. I'd even settle for 12" x 8" x 6"!!!

The "battery box" from JEGS is WAY too large (about 16" wide). I have a feeling most battery boxes are going to be too large, metal or plastic.

Right now, I'm out less than $15 and about an hour of my time. If you guys come up with anything better, suggestions are always welcome.

All of 20 seconds on ebay searching.:D

Maui is onto something here. Have you ever heard of the 'Intracooler' for turbo/supercharged engines? These guys ( http://www.coolflow.com/intracooler/intercooler.htm ) developed it. It uses your AC system to super-cool the charged air before it goes into the engine.

Put some gold ole' American ingenuity into this, and you could be the ultimate redneck! That box could hold at least a six-pack!!

Of couse another option is to put your dinner in there and by the time you get home it will be cooked. :burnout:

Well, I'm glad I timed out this thread to die in 24 hours.
You guys with your turbos and S/Cs.....bunch of sick puppies. LMAO!

I had a moment of clarity on my drive to Indy (and back) today, and came up with a much better solution: http://www.vtcoa.com/forums/showthread.php?t=2460

I guess we can let this thread pass. Thanks everyone.
