Sounds like a custom tune with a hand held programmer would be the best for you. The easiest way to go is to tune your truck for 100 unleaded fuel (do not mess with the leaded stuff). This fuel is readily available at many gas stations and you can fill up anytime. Once tuned on the dyno for this fuel, you can have a race calibration or a 91 calibration. Options are two computers or a handheld.

The oxygenated unleaded fuels work great but can cause hard starting and have a very short shelf life. Good for a drag day and nothing else. This stuff is really nasty and will give you two headed babies if you breathe it.

\There are several 76 stations that sell 100 octane unleaded right out of the pump....no issues...but again the torco accelerator is awesome....leaded race fuel will eat up your 02 sensors unless you buy ones that can handle the lead...you will get some hours out of the cats before they go south...I ran leaded in my car with cats for 20 hours with no problems...

stp octane boost only raises you 2 points (91 to 91.2) so it's basically useless. Torco race gas accelerator that we use raises 91 to 96 octane. you don't need C-16, that's race gas and costs a lot more than torco. you'd have to mix in about 5 gallons of C-16 (at $9 a gallon) per tank to get the same octane as 24 oz of torco.

Here's another question:

I was tuned to Chevron pump gas (91 Octane) with 2 bottles of STP octane boost. What kind of race gas should I get (C116 118octane or C23 125octane) and what proportions of each for a full tank of 26 gallons.

They offer Q23 which is oxygenated 125 octane. Do we want oxygenated fuel and why?

All 3 race gases mentioned above are leaded. How will this effect the Hi Flow cats and O2 sensors?

What would you say is the best way to go instead of buying 2 bottles of octane boost every time I go to the track?

Not sure if that is a updated list I remember calling the Norwalk one and they no longer sold 100 octane fuel. I've been to the Huntington Bch(out of the pump $6.69 a gal) and the Bellflower(5 gal jug $8.00 a gal) before.

I found a local distributer in Marina Del Ray area for the Torco. I will be going with either 100 octane gas to the track and have the Torco as a back up in case the 100 is not available.

The Torco distributer is a local guy that progressed from buying Torco for his race cars to being a distributer since he buys so much product. His name is Joel and might stop in on this forum.
