i almost bought one until i tried to insure it. if i pay cash for it and use it on the track then there is no need for insurance.
as far as size, i may have to find one to sit in. i am 300lbs and 6 foot tall.
the lotus is option 2. prefer a viper over the lotus as i like a v-10 over a toyata 4 banger. i also want to go 200 again, as i miss it.
really it was in ingress/egress...even somewhat svelte...i didn't like it...but i was looking for a DD that got less gas than the truck....and hondas/acuras/nissans/ just didn't do it for me anymore....WearyMicrobe said:How is that possible, I fit in a Exige at 6'0 180 just fine, with size 12.5 feet no less.
There are seat lowering kits available for the pre 03 vipers, I have driven a few with them and with less padding in the seat and it worked out fine. Personally I am trying to find a 04+ right now in a vert but I need to clear a parking space up first and the truck is not going.
Black1 said:The GTS had a 8.0L (better motor, IMO)... So, if you saw a "Coupe" w/ a 8.3L, it was a 3rd Gen. And if it was under $30k and not wrecked you should have bought it...
You need to drive a GTS. I'm 5'11, 240LBS, and I was very comfortable driving it... but, I'm used to being in tight places so it didn't bother me.![]()

scoobert said:forged? as in i can run 7psi without other mods? if so that would be awesome.
Chuck B said:I'm 6'3" 205lbs 36" inseam and very flexible and still found getting in/out of older Viper's involves step by step maneuvering. You simply don't just get in and get out. At your size it would be a 'hard sale' to get me to spring for a Viper. I know over time I'd dread it. Then again, could be a great motivator for you to see Jenny Craig!![]()

cant be much worse then the old 944 with the hand break on the left side of the seat.
Black1 said:Actually... The Viper car's cockpit is much like the C4 Corvettes. You gotta "fall in and roll out".![]()
That's almost like elder abuse.walbert said:been there done that for 8 years. It was great once you were in it. Was funny to see my 70 yr old mom get in and out.
