Went to Pep Boys and saw buy 5 qts and Mobil 1 filter for 29.00 and get 5 dollars rebate back limit 2 per person. So I bought 10 bottles for the 10 and 2 filters for the D for 64$ So total with rebate was 54$ for the oil and 2 filters. Around 3.51 a quart. I had gone to Wal Mart but no 0w-40. Just wanted to share.

Yep, I went today to Pepboys and got the same deal. After mail in rebate you get 5 quarts on Mobile 1 Full synthetic and 1 oil filter Mobile 1 for $24.99. Every few months they have a special like that.

I'll have to check it out, maybe they have 10-30 in stock.

why does the 04 call for 10/30 and the 05 calls for 40 weight

If they came out with a 0W-30, that would be perfect! I would like to run a 0W oil, but I don't want a -40. If I remember correctly a -30 reaches "optimal" viscosity range at around 210F (~4 cst IIRC?). A -20 reaches the same viscosity at ~180-190. I don't remember off the top of my head what the #'s are for -40. I run Mobil-1 full syn 5W-30 in the summer and may run 0W-20 this winter since my oil temps only get up to 185-190 max in the winter. 10W is just too viscous on start-up and should be avoided.

I just went off what the service manual said, hopefully the guys who built it know a thing or two lol.
They state: 0-W40 (preferred) or 5-W40.

Thanks for letting us know. I'm going to check out Pepboys!!!!!!1111
