Guys
What can you tell me about this. I hear a lot of people getting the SCT is this comparable? Pro's and Cons
Thanks

Hey
I am not the guy bashing these trucks...My loan is approved and think I will make the move on the silver RC from the Pres of the S Mopar Assoc.
The truck has this tuner and wanted to know what you all thought of it. I may immediatly go with forged pistons and rods after reading the threads. Truck has Mopar headers as well. Waiting for some more pics and should be a go!!!!

i have the mopar pcm and have no probs. the nice thing about the mopar pcm, it eliminates the emission monitors....no check engine lights

The mopar flash is a out of the box mod. It is plug and play. But if you want to make changes then you have to send your whole PCM to a tuner that can 1. Tune a Viper and 2. Change the settings on the PCM. Now the SCT is the same but you can send your A/F to a tuner that you bought your SCT from. He can email you a new tune in a few minutes and you can continue your dyno runs to get more HP. You will not see a big gain in MAX HP and TRQ. You will see the gains in the lower RPM bands. i.e. you might gain 20 RWHP for Max HP. But gain 60 RWHP at 2500 RPM, same for TRQ.

I believe the Mopar PCM's adjust fuel tables and spark when using their catless mids and headers. The SCT is a plug and play that can be programmed for most any tune parameters and then uploaded onto the vehicles PCM.

If the truck already has the PCM flash then just keep it. If later on you want to do some more modding then invest in a SCT. You will not see a whole of gain from the flash to the SCT compared with the new cost of the SCT. In the long run thought the SCT is the way to go.

The SCT is definetly the way to go as far as flashes are concerned. Best thing is you could have up to 3 different tunes on the unit, and switch tunes in minutes.

That truck is a steal, better buy it quick.....
Oh yeah, the SCT seems to be the best route.

Hope it is a steal and no probs. Waiting for him to send me more pics and making a call to all in LA or lower Alabama to help me get a look see. For the price this is probably the one and affords me to go with forged pistons and rods right away or if the engine is good bed cover and rug

If you buying the truck from the guy who was a member here...............its a very nice hot rod. I remember he was one of the first members to get the mopar headers and posted a video of it...........sounded awesome!! I cant remember his name though.

The mopar pcm works quite well with the mopar headers.......I think you will be happy with the setup.

plus a sct can read codes and delete them ,,,i got a code twice because i did not tighten my gas cap down and in 5 mins i erased it ,,plus if you go BANG you can return it to stock on the spot ,,,to cover you ARSS,,,andf if you are going on a long trip you can set it to 91 tune in case you cant find 93 octane

Just got done doing fireworks with my wife and 5 year old son...what a blast no pun intended. I am glad to hear some good things about this truck and really excited to be close to being an owner. Is there anyone near the Florida Panhandle or LA that could take a quick look for me??? I am looking at about 8 hours to get there. 6 to get back hell yeah!!!!!!!!!

Mods I can see going as high as 25 total investment at this time so If the deal goes as planned I am open to the best choice of early mods. Forged would be nice to have done and have piece of mind for whatever comes next but I should research the best set of Pistons and Rods for whatever may come. Marty Mickey Brat Bill Dennis anyone else that I met at the GTG would love to hear your thoughts Hell I want to hear them all...can you tell I am getting pumped

Eddie might be close or I might be close depending on where in LA.

Flying Low or Eddie
I am not sure where you guys are but it looks like you take I 10 to Mobile, 98 North to 65 65 North to Saraland. If I had to guess it looks like an hour north of Mobile. Please tell me this is close for someone. I see in another thread that Joe is well known and wouldn't own a POS. I believe you and want to make sure that's why he doesn't want to own it anymore Wink Wink. I'm sure the truck is a great deal just hoping for a quick look and listen
