Muffler warantee

I put Flowmaster 40 series mufflers on my truck last year....they were restricive as hell and killed power....cut them off and added Billy Boat....and the power was back....Ran Nitrous and the Billy Boat imploded....melted...fell apart...called Billy Boat and they said no racing....the muffler for $1300 is designed for factory power levels only

Does anyone know of a muffler that will bolt to the B&B headers and tubes that will warantee tehri muffler to work with racing situations like Roe's S/C and or nitrous?

Has anyone else had their exhaust work warantee voided due to racing apps? (1300.00 is a lot of money to spend to have a warantee voided due to racing instead of factory power levels. Is it me or does anyone else find this ridiculous?

I am running a SC with B&B, no issues so far. Prof is running the same SC with Magnaflo no issues so far. I guess we will see down the road. Does NOS create more heat in the exhaust???

Yes nitrous adds a lot of heat.....

the B&B will be good to 700rwhp if you are running boost.....

it never gave me any problems until the NOS....not really B&B's fault....a 325 shot is a bunch....just wish that I knew the limitations before I bought....:dontknow:

Perry, that just sucks. $1300 is a lot of money to freaking fall apart like that. Check out Nowwhats sound clip for your next muffler choice!!!

I do, but it does not identify my truck on it. i am sure Roe could print one out.

As NOWWHAT said though, they clame its good up to 700 RWHP on a blown engine. I am well below that. Plus, I believe it is the heat from the Nos that is the culprit!!

Yeah, pretty much ridiculous. I have the B&B and like it BUT on their site and in their own video they show an SRT-10 taking off and going through a couple of gears at or near w.o.t.

I don't think it would make any difference to the muffler if there was another vehicle beside it at the time. I guess that is what B&B calls "Racing"...:dontknow:

Didn't they make their mark building exhaust for RACING boats? Don't those same boats use Nitrous?

I would suggest advising them of this forum topic... tell em they are getting a pretty bad name... and other are forming similar opinions about their expensive product..etc..

Just a thought... companies hate bad PR.. and most will work something out to help and clear their name... (Most that is... ) not sure about Billy Boat....
