[/IMG][/IMG]Let me start off by saying that I'm not trying to promote Hennessey in no way shape or form. My intake was my 1st mod I ever did and it was before I joined the forum and realized that there are other great companies out there (that arent trying to financially molest you)! That being said, outside of my CAI being overpriced I feel like this thing performs and breathes amazingly at highway speeds!!! I just wanted to post this because I have been asked multiple times to post pics of it, and I finally got around to breakn out the camera instead of crappy cell phone pics.

Yeah, that's isn't too impressive at all! Looks like Vatozone SPECTRE chrome elbow and a K&N filter? Guess that's Hennessey work alright.
And to think they make millions cutomizing cars. I've been to their facility and it kicks ass and most work they do really looks amazing.:dontknow:

The stock setup looks better than that. I'll take my K&N CAI over that any day. I hear he makes good headers but they are $3k.

For that to be really effective I would get a heat shield made for it,all the heat from the rad fan and the belt will be blowing hot air right into the filter defeating the whole purpose, you put a heat shield around the filter and I bet you will notice a big difference!
I'm having similar heat issue also from the hot air from rad,my filter is right beside fender straight across from belts and beside my Paxton.

That's a $75 intake at best. Like venomous said, spectre elbow and off the shelf k&n. I can't believe he didn't design his own elbow or heat shield. The chrome and factory elbow are so different in material it clashes and looks tacky. What did you pay?

I paid $500.... WAY TOO MUCH!!! Although it isn't some cheap elbow, its quite thick. There is a single bolt mounting bracket welded to the elbow that bolts to the backside of the radiator. And for heat... once you are moving I feel the placement gets it a ton of airflow. I have two K&N's that I constantly clean and swap out. They are constantly full of horseflies, dragonflies etc... Which tells me its doing its job of getting cool airflow... and bug control! Lol

Lol, lots of other intakes have the filter there and don't cost $500. And they look better, and they have a heat shield.

No offense or anything man but that intake looks hideous.

I have yet to figure out why no one has built a CAI where the Filter itself rests inside the pass side fender completely placing it outside the engine bay...

Project time!

I have heard that they do have good gains, maybe a very simple look to them but not a 500.00 look.

But look at the name and that's why they cost so much.
