:( Well, wife took Foxy outside to go to the bathroom last night when we heard a bunch of hissing and fighting. We both ran out there to see what was going on when we see foxy and a large possum in the bushes...we scream for foxy to come, and don't get a response

Now foxy is a small Lhasa which wouldn't hurt a soul. She's my best friend

Immediately I grab the pellet gun, load a round in it, and start looking....

I see this black thing with a rats tail, and the tail is about 10" long...and violent. I step back to the door, put the scope on 8x aim and bam, it drops.

Foxy came out running and she is ok...

Here is a pic of the animal..sorry its from a camera phone from this morning....also a pic of Foxy.

brings back memories, my dobie used to drag em up every week, was even good a killing armadillos, that was always a good fight to watch. oh and good shot with the crossman...lol

Hey man, nice shot!

Chances are the o'possum woulda had it's way with Foxy. Lhasas are cute and cuddly, but they ain't known fer their fightin'! And Possums can get pretty nasty!

LMAO!!!! damn man........that thing is HUGE compared to her!!!! GOOD KILL though!!! i hope you finally got that "KILLING" out of your system!!! ;)

I don't know. Foxy looks pretty mean to me.;) :p

Possum's are nothing but a big F'ing rat.

As long as my wife doesn't find out, I have been known to pitchfork the damn things.

Funny you bring up the dog thing (at least it is your fault)....we adopted another one. That's right 10 total now...we need help we are not right. Here is a low quality cell phone picture...she (Kyra) is the pale colored one in the back. The picture is only of the Shiba Inus...cuz they are the only ones that matter to me now ;) .

The old owner did not want her any more. Said she shed too much, so they went and purchased two boston terriers before they even found her a new home. This is her third home. She is 1 year and two months old. What is wrong with people?

Termination with extreme prejudice. Usually approved at the highest levels of government.

Out.

CarDude, you are crazy! But, your dogs are cool! That pic is too funny! Are they watching you leave, or welcoming you in???

:D

Thanks for all the comments...yeah, she just a little girl but like other dogs, she has a big heart and is part of the family.

My wife and I got her when we first got married..so shes going on 6 years :) , and means a lot to us hehe.

When you hear a 'family' member getting hurt, it feels so instinct to just run out there to protect them  , I was relieved when I found out she wasn't hurt though.

Hey Patrick, Did Foxy get nipped or scratched at all? Is there any chance the opossum was rabid? Keep an eye on her. It's a big concern here in NC. Hopefully the Opossum was just passing through at the wrong moment. If your sure it's not rabid, I'll start the grill. Send it to me.:D

Sorry Red...didn't mean to hijack ur thread. I am sooo rude.

They are trained not to leave the front door, so they will stand there while I am outside. They love going outside, so I have to walk them a lot.
